AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Saturday, December 8, 2007 at the VA Medical Center, Mr. John F. "Skip" Ertter, Sr., husband of the late Shirley Ann Heverling Ertter. Skip was a native of Harrisburg, Pa. and had resided in Augusta since 1965. He retired as Sergeant First Class from the U.S. Army after 22 years. He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. Skip was a member of the DewSweepers for 25 years and an avid bowler. Family members include his daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Bryan Rupp of Atlanta; sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Courtney Ertter of Suwannee, John F. Jr. and Janet Ertter of Dublin; and 7 grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Friday, December 14, 2007 at 12:00 noon in Bellevue Memorial Gardens, with full Military Honors.
