Pete Fair Brown (SANDERSVILLE, Ga.)

SANDERSVILLE, Ga. - Mr. Pete Fair Brown, Jr., age 76, of 307 Riddleville Road in Sandersville, died Sunday morning, August 12 in the Oconee Regional Medical Center in Milledgeville following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 15 at 2 p.m. in the May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Sandersville with burial in the Washington Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Brown was a native and life long resident of Washington County, the son of the late Pete Fair Brown, Sr. and the late Dora Crosby Brown. He was a retired foreman for Anglo American Clay Corporation with 42 years of service. Mr. Brown was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Ridgeland Heights Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife, Rosa Lindsey Brown of Sandersville; a daughter, Arlene Brown Durden (Johnny) of Tennille; two granddaughters, Sonya Durden and Joshua Durden; two great-grandchildren, Heather Corbett and J.T. Gee; his stepmother, Thelma Brown of Sandersville; two sisters, Faye Brown Burden of Augusta and Sarah Brown Bratcher of Sandersville; five brothers, Algea Brown of Sandersville, Cecil Brown of Warthen, Harvell Brown of Sandersville, Randy Brown of Danville, Colorado, and Mack Brown of Columbia, S.C.
