W.M. 'Red' Hancock (BEECH ISLAND, S.C.)

BEECH ISLAND, S.C. - Funeral Services for Mr. W.M. "Red" Hancock, 87 of Gladys Drive, Beech Island, SC, who entered into rest April 25, 2007, will be conducted Saturday morning at 11 o'clock from the Stephen D. Posey Funeral Home. Rev. Albert C. Tuten, Sr. officiating. Interment in Sunset Memory Gardens with Veteran's Honors. Mr. Hancock was a life-long resident of Beech Island, South Carolina. He worked in construction, was a truck driver for Merry Brick Company and the owner of Hancock Produce. Mr. Hancock was an avid fisherman and loved fishing the St. John's River. He was a CB Radio enthusiast, a rabbit hunter and well-known for training beagles. Survivors include a son, Sterling Hancock, Augusta; two daughters, Michelle H. Tuten, Pineland, SC and Debbie L. Contreras, Freemont, CA; nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Albert Tuten, Jr., Shawn Hancock and Craig Williams. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Friday evening from 7 to 9. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 1105 Furys Lane Suite D, Augusta, Georgia 30907.
