AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Katherine Beam Williams, 92, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 21, 2007, at the Keysville Nursing Home and Rehab Center, Keysville, Ga. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 26, 2007, at Hillcrest Baptist Church, Augusta, Ga., with the Dr. L. Gordon Robinson officiating. Interment will be in the Harlem Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Williams was born in Lindale, Ga., and was the daughter of the late Virgil B. Beam and Florence Blankenship Beam. She had worked for 23 years as a weaver at the Pepperll Manufacturing Company and was also a homemaker. Mrs. Williams was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and the Dabney Sunday School Class and the Young at Hearts. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Billie Ann W. Anderson and George J. Anderson, Sr., Augusta; Granddaughter Katherine A. Emerson and husband Scott Emerson of Brentwood, Tennessee; Grandson George J. 'Andy' Anderson, Jr. and wife Nancy Anderson of Salisbury, Maryland; Three great-granddaughters, Rebecca , Ashley, and Lily Emerson; Step great-granddaughter Lauren P. Simms and husband Ryan Simms; Step great-grandson Adam J. Price; Step great-great granddaughter Aurora Price If so desired, memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice, 1365 Interstate Parkway, Augusta, GA 30909 or to Hillcrest Baptist Church, 3045 Deans Bridge Road, Augusta, GA 30906. Pallbearers will be R.J. Beam, Jr., Glenn Hall, Herbert Ledbetter, Allen Holt, Jamie Golden, and Arthur Wallace. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Dabney Sunday School Class.
