Rosie Benton Williams (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Friday, February 16, 2007 at University Hospital, Mrs. Rosie Benton Williams of Horton Drive, widow of the late Reverend M. L. Williams. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. from New Holt Missionary Baptist Church, of Harlem, Georgia with Pastor Melvin Adams and Reverend Robert L. Ramsey officiating. Interment will be in Southview Cemetery. Mrs. Williams was a native of Columbia County, Georgia and was a member of New Holt Missionary Baptist Church. She served as First Lady at Mount Hope Baptist Church, Milhaven, Georgia, Rocksville Baptist Church, Gloverville, South Carolina, Jerusalem Baptist Church, Augusta and Popular Springs Baptist Church, McDuffie County, Georgia. Survivors are two sons, Samuel C. Williams, Grafenwoehr, Germany, Anthony D. Williams, Augusta;three daughters, Barbara E. Williams and Brenda Thomas, Augusta, and Cynthia Haynes, Hanau, Germany; one sister, Allene Brunson, Augusta; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Emanuel Williams; two sisters-in-law, Susie Williams and Naomi Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
