James Walker (AUGUSTA, Ga.)

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. James Walker of Springwood Court entered into rest Friday, January 12, 2007 at his residence. Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 20, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Highland Ave. with Bro. Joseph L. Walton officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olive Memorial Gardens. Mr. Walker was a native of Jenkins Co., Ga. and a Jehovah's Witness. He was retired from the City of Deerfield Beach, Florida after many years of service. Survivors are his wife, Marilyn C. Walker, Augusta, Ga.; two sons, Xavier Walker, Daniel Walker, Augusta, Ga.; two daughters, Lisha (Gregory) Battle, Atlanta, Ga., Jackie (Anthony) Smith, Rivera Beach, Florida; one son, Tyrone Walker-McCullough, Florida; three sisters, Mattie Mae Smith, Alabama, Sarah (Robert) Johnson, Brenda (Paul) Leverett, all of Georgia; four brothers, Bennie (Mattie) Walker, Ed Walker, Eugene Walker, Jessie (Betty) Walker, all of Florida, Clarence Ray (Mary) Walker, Florida; five grandchildren; a dear nephew, Sylvester Walker, Augusta, Ga.; a host of nieces and nephews.
