Fred C. Hill (JACKSON, S.C.)

JACKSON, S.C. - Funeral Services for Mr. Fred C. Hill, 82, of Old Jackson Highway, Jackson, SC, who died January 5, 2007, will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Rev. Jerry Davis officiating. Interment in Wesley Chapel Cemetery with Veterans Honors. Mr. Hill was a native of Ellenton, SC, having made Jackson his home for the past 50 years. He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, where he served as a former Treasurer, Trustee, choir member and member of the Men's Club and the Cemetery Committee. Mr. Hill was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II and in 1962 was activated as a member of the Navy Reserve; member of the Andrews Masonic Lodge and retired from the E.I. DuPont Company at the Savannah River Site. He was the brother of the late Helen Williams. Survivors include his wife, Ann Wood Hill; two daughters and sons-in-law, Georgia and Maurice Williams and Cindy & Kirk Owen, all of Aiken; a brother, Ray Hill, Petersburg, VA; five grandchildren, Creighton Hentz, Brecken Hentz, Stewart Williams, Michael Williams and Ashley Elvis; a great grandchild, Lauren Williams. Honorary Pallbearers will be Claude Revis, Skeet Belger, Melvin Westbrook, Kenneth Ellis, Andy Houthoofd, Dedrick Cole, Raymond Campbell, John Key, James Prior and Cary Burris. Active Pallbearers will be Dan Connelly, Steve Cole, Steve Scott, Craig Borden, George Boyd and Grady Belger, Jr. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Sunday evening from 6 to 8.
