Ex-Devil, Bulldog joins the Packers

The Green Bay Packers on Tuesday signed three defensive players taken on the second day of the NFL Draft: defensive end Jarius Wynn , a former Lincoln County and University of Georgia standout, cornerback Brandon Underwood and linebacker Brad Jones .

Wynn, a sixth-round pick, played two seasons at Georgia after beginning his career at Georgia Military College.

Fellow sixth-rounder Under-wood, once a highly regarded recruit at Ohio State, finished his career at Cincinnati and led the team in interceptions as a senior.

Jones, a seventh-round pick, was a three-year starter at Colorado.

FALCONS: Signed two more draft picks, including third-round pick Christopher Owens , a cornerback.

The Falcons also signed offensive tackle Garrett Reynolds , a fifth-round pick from North Carolina.

Owens had 13 career interceptions as a three-year starter for San Jose State.

The Falcons released offensive lineman Renardo Foster and kicker-punter Robbie Dehaze.

BROWNS: Donte' Stallworth began serving a 30-day jail sentence for killing a pedestrian while driving drunk in Florida, a punishment made possible by his cooperation with investigators and the fervent wish by the victim's family to put the matter behind them.

Stallworth, 28, also reached a confidential financial settlement with the family of 59-year-old Mario Reyes , a construction worker struck and killed early on March 14 by Stallworth, driving drunk in his black 2005 Bentley.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said the league is reviewing the matter for possible disciplinary action. Stallworth could face suspension without pay for some games this year.

PANTHERS: Running back Jonathan Stewart says he'll be ready for the start of training camp after being sidelined all off-season with pain in his left Achilles' tendon.

Stewart said the Achilles' first flared up in off-season conditioning in February and likely stems from favoring his left foot after toe surgery last off-season.

BRONCOS: Brandon Marshall is saying his good-byes to the Denver Broncos and their fans even as coach Josh McDaniels talks about seeing his holdout Pro Bowl receiver at training camp in July.

Marshall posted a farewell on his blog, four days after requesting a trade during a private meeting with team owner Pat Bowlen .

Bowlen hasn't said whether he'll honor Marshall's trade request, and McDaniels says he expects Marshall to report to camp at the end of July.
