Futurity Open finals moved up to Friday

The 39th Augusta Futurity is heading into the homestretch, but there is still plenty to see and do.

A major change in the schedule for this year is that the Futurity Open finals have been moved up to Friday. Traditionally held on Saturday, the last day of the show, the finals feature 22 riders this year vying for the title. The event will be held after the finals of the Classic Non-Pro, which starts at 6 p.m.

On Saturday, the Wrangler Family Fun Fest will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will be held inside the arena instead of outside like in years past.

Four finals will be held Saturday beginning at 2 p.m. The 4-Year-Old Unlimited Amateur is the first final and is followed by the Area 18 Youth Scholarship, the Futurity Non-Pro and the event concludes with the Classic Open championship.
