Trap shooting

SafeHomes of Augusta will hold its fourth annual Take Aim at Domestic Violence trap shooting tournament April 26 at Pinetucky Gun Club, 2096 Greenland Road.

Tickets are $70 per individual, $50 for military personnel and $40 for ages 12-17. Price includes dinner, beverages and a raffle ticket for a Stoeger 3000 shotgun and Kamado Joe Grill.

Free tennis clinic

The CSRA Tennis Association will hold an adult Quick Start program for beginning tennis players.

The program is offered by Newman Tennis Center, Petersburg Racquet Club, Riverview Park and Springlakes.

Participants will receive a free one-hour group tennis clinic before Masters Week. They will then be invited to continue in a six week program that costs $50.

Players will receive a Wilson tennis racquet, six 90-minute clinics beginning the week of April 21, two days of play at a facility, a United States Tennis Association membership, and payment of entry fees for the fall tennis league.

Women’s event

The 14th annual Women’s Leadership Conference will be held 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. May 8 at Be My Guest Catering in Evans.

The theme is Wake Up From Your Dream. It will explore how women can bring their dreams to life.

Speakers include Bishop Nedenia Barber and Pastor Ceretta Anita Smith of Dominion Christian Fellowship. Mistress of ceremonies will be Marilyn Norris, a two-time breast cancer survivor, CASA volunteer and captain of Team Strong Blessings.

The conference will include breakfast, lunch, breakout sessions, a panel discussion, networking opportunities and exhibitors.

Early bird registration is $50 and must be received by April 28. Regular registration is $60. There will be no registration at the door.

Clean and Green

Turn Back the Block is inviting the community to participate in Harrisburg Clean and Green Day on April 26.

Volunteers of all ages will help clean the streets, sidewalks and lots in Harrisburg.

Participants will meet at the old Martha Lester School at 1688 Broad St. Lunch will be provided, but must be signed up for in advance.

Shero Awards

Cher’s Sisters Only Club will hold the eight annual Shero Awards Luncheon from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at the Legends Club.
