Two students from Georgia Regents University have been chosen to participate in summer externships.
Junior Haley Meharg will attend the Nurse Externship Program at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Junior Lauren Coursey, who is studying at the Athens campus, will participate in the Student Nurse Extern Program at New York University Langone Medical Center’s Tisch Hospital.
Alix Walburn has been awarded the $1,500 2013 Artists Row Scholarship. She will attend the Maryland Institute College of Art in the fall and plans to study graphic design.
Savannah River Remediation has awarded an educational grant to Allison Childers of A. Brian Merry Elementary School.
