Milestones

Volunteer award

Dr. Lee Ann Caldwell, of Augusta, was presented the Museum Volunteer award by the Georgia Association of Museums and Galleries.

Caldwell was nominated by Historic Augusta, Inc., for her service to the Boyhood Home of President Woodrow Wilson. Among her contributions is the interpretation of the museum, lectures and text for an introductory video.

Military training

Marine Corps Pvt. Corey L. Welch has graduated from recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C. He is the son of Michelle and Ted Fulcher and a 2012 graduate of Hephzibah High School.

Marine Corps Pfc. Brandon M. Moore has graduated from recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C. He is the son of Conniestene D. Beverly and Byron M. Moore, and a 2011 graduate of Westside High School.

Air Force Airman Kevin Thomas has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Veronica Thomas and a 2011 graduate of Lakeside High School.

Dean’s list

Sharon Story was named to the dean’s list at Upper Iowa University for the Fall 2012 semester.

Master’s degree

Maria Beard has graduated from Capella University with a Master of Science in Counseling Studies.

President’s list

The following students have been named to the president’s list for the Fall 2012 semester: Marc William Aloan, Valeria Kay McFarland and Kenneth Zane Lewandowski.
