Milestones

Augusta Branch NAACP members Dr. Charles J. Smith, Viola B. Elam, Shirlene Ball, Paul Thompkins, Inger Carter and Dr. Beulah Nash-Teachey received the National NAACP Convention Million Dollar Club Award for “outstanding membership recruitment” and for soliciting more than $1,000 each in memberships.

Smith, the branch president, received his fourth Million Dollar Award and his fourth 100K Club National Award for recruiting more than 100 members.

 

Natalie A. Walters and Rebecca K. Wiggins were named to the dean’s list at Samford University in Birmingham, Ala., for the spring semester.

Olivia Oellerich was named to the dean’s list at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn., for the spring semester.
