Funds for education

Augusta Technical College President Terry Elam (from left) and Stefanie Bowie, the college's director of adult education, accept a $5,000 check from Dave Olson, the president and project manager of Savannah River Remediation, the liquid waste contractor for Savannah River Site. The check will help the college's foundation fund GED scholarships, which help students acquire their high school equivalency diplomas through the college's adult literacy program.
