The Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art's fourth annual Spring Artists' Market and Festival will start Friday and continue through March 26.
The artists' market will feature 40 local artists who have created about 10 pieces each.
A variety of work will be available, including photography, prints, ceramics, paintings, drawings and sculptures, said Rebekah Henry, the executive director of the institute.
"We asked the artists to bring works priced at $100 or less. All of the pieces are original. They really represent the artists," she said. "This is a great chance for art collectors to come and buy pieces to add to their collection at really affordable prices.
"For those who don't have a collection, it's an opportunity to start one."
Thirty-five percent of each sale from the market will go to the institute.
"We will use the funds to provide more free community events and to help create art awareness in the CSRA," Henry said.
There will be a wine and cheese reception Friday, and those who attend can get a 10 percent discount on purchases that night.
On Saturday, there will be an artists' festival that
will include art activities for children, face-painting and professional demonstrations by artists of their craft, Henry said.
Attendance at all events is free.
