Chosen for honor
Jessyca Rachelle Hayes , daughter of Dr. J. and Carolyn Emanuel-Hayes, of Augusta, has been chosen for membership in the Order of the Purple Seal at Columbia College.
Honor graduate
Morgan K. Moretz , of Augusta, has earned a bachelor of science in communication degree, magna cum laude, from Boston University.

Victoria Timblin , daughter of Rhonda Timblin, of Augusta, and Michael Timblin, of Aiken, a graduating student of the commercial photography program at North Georgia Technical College, Clarkesville, will have her work on display Tuesday-March 23 at the Clarkesville Campus Visual Technology Building Atrium.
Pilot certificates
Clarence Wesley Jones , of Augusta, and Ryan Armenta , of Hephzibah, have earned private pilot certificates with instrument ratings through the On Wings of Eagles Foundation Flight Academy as part of the National Guard Youth Challenge Program. Both graduated with honors from the Augusta YCA campus in 2009.

- Air Force Airman Kyle A. Schnetzler , a 2008 graduate of Greenbrier High School and son of Laura Schnetzler, of Augusta, has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.
- Army National Guard Pvt. Michael A. Thomas Jr. , son of Theresa Herron, of Augusta, and Michael Thomas Sr., of Sarasota, Fla., has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.
