Michael Walden , of Augusta, has been named a Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholar.

Military milestones

The following people have received military honors:

- Army Spc. Nicholas B. Small , son of Venice Small, of Augusta, has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.

- Army Pvt. John P. Bosdell , son of Karen E. Jones, of Augusta, has graduated from the Fire Support Specialist Advanced Individual Training course at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.

Wins wrestling title

The Hephzibah High School wrestling team has won the 2010 Area 3 AAAA Traditional Team Wrestling Championship. The team edged out Westside High School, 173-172.

Club raises money

The Spirit Creek Middle School Junior Beta Club and student body raised $1,002.95 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Pennies for Patients Campaign.
