Fort Gordon ceremony marks change of command

The Garrison flag was passed Friday to Fort Gordon Garrison Comman-der Col. Todd Turner, as a symbolic gesture of the change of Garrison Command leadership from Col. Sam Anderson during a change of command ceremony at Fort Gordon.

“It’s always an honor when the Army selects you for such a responsibility,” Col. Turner said after the ceremony. “What we now inherit is to lead the transformation effort, and that’s from the actual growth of the cyber school, the growth of NSA, the new campus for the new Cyber (Center of Excellence). It’s really integrating all of those activities. I think we are going to set the conditions for success.”

Turner is a graduate of West Point and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in Aviation in 1994. He has logged more than 2,100 flight hours and has received a Bronze Star among his many awards and decorations.
