TO THE PERSON ranting about the SUV passing on double lines in a construction zone on Mike Padgett Highway: That was probably a police officer in the SUV. So even if they do catch him, they don’t write each other tickets.

IN REGARD TO THEIR wanting to do away with the Calhoun Expressway, I say leave it here because if they were to tear it down then it would be one more place for GRU to take over. They’ve taken over too much already. Leave Calhoun Expressway right where it is.

WITH ALL OF THE complaints about the Augusta VA, no one has mentioned the lavish parties they have at taxpayer expense.

THE NEW CHEERIOS ad celebrating fathers is absolutely wonderful. Thank you, Cheerios, from this father.

I WONDER WHY Columbia County starts a new school year on a Wednesday instead of a Monday, beginning of the week? Doesn’t make any sense to me.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE explain why we’ve seen at least on three different occasions uniformed military personnel saying that the general who was shot and killed in Afghanistan was a noncombatant?

I ENJOY READING Augusta’s annual itemized budget online at www.augustaga.gov under “Your Money.” I also look at every check they issue each month under that same section. The prize check for the month of June has to be to Bimbo’s Bakeries for $2,071. Our commissioners drink only brand-name bottled water and in June they spent $1,888.48 with Coca-Cola for that privilege. Lots of interesting reading on Augusta’s government Web site.

THE WINNER OF Sunday’s tournament in Ohio was on Page 3 of the sports page in Monday’s paper, but Tiger Woods was on top of Page 1 and he had to withdraw because of medical problems. Woods has as much chance of winning another major tournament as Danica Patrick has of winning a NASCAR race. She couldn’t find the finish line if it was painted across her hood.

DURING THE PERIOD that Israel was defending itself from Hamas the terrorist organization, there were over 2,500 deaths in the Syria conflict. I can’t remember the U.N. or our government shocked at the number of deaths that occurred there and nobody condemned what was going on? I wonder why there was such an outcry against Israel and nothing against Syria?

Bonner

This question got quite a few thumbs up yesterday. Let's see if the R&R crowd have any thoughts on the matter:

Is Clerk of Commission Lena Bonner still working from home? The commission needs to insist she come to work at the Marble Palace or place her on disability. She should not be allowed to draw full salary and not be available for full-time duty.

Who cares if Brown paid for

Who cares if Brown paid for cigars or not. The salient point is that on film, he was physically accosting and threatening the cashier; which goes to his character and state of mind.

The clerk (possibly the owner) of the store knows whether Brown paid for the cigars. Of course, I'm sure he's been threatened by the Oakland-based Black Panthers that he had better not snitch; that he had better not say anything bad about Brown in front of a microphone or to a jury.

Same reason you don't hear Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson talking about all the black youth being slaughtered on the streets of Chicago daily!! Because it doesn't fit their agenda, period!!

If people talk about all the human beings, being slaughtered because of radical Islam, it doesn't promote the hate Israel/America agenda!! If Jackson and Sharpton talk about black youth, shooting black youth; it doesn't further the victim mentality they promote, as well as the hate America agenda!!

Why does the president ALWAYS talk about America's "tragic history" and never, EVER mentions that slavery and barbarianism, existed in every single Country in the world at one point!! Many practiced it, long after America abolished it and some still practice it today!!

But, that wouldn't further the hate America/Israel agenda; so not a word is mentioned!! The TRUTH, is far from these people!!

Please, don't for a second believe the non-sense that he paid for the cigars. Don't fall into that trap!

Dorian Johnson's (Michael Browns friend) attorney has already released a statement that his client admitted to authorities they stole the cigars!!

http://www.ksdk.com/story/news/local/2014/08/15/attorney-dorian-johnson-...

Now, you can believe a youtube video, by someone sitting on their couch, recording their TV if you want; but I'll pass!! Look at the video happychimer and bodhisattva posted, very closely!! You can see that it's someone recording their TV with a phone or other recording device. When the camera moves, you can see the edge of the TV; they're just holding it close, trying to make it not so noticeable!!

The really sad thing is, websites like DailyKOS, actually reported that Brown DID pay for the cigars; and used this video as their "evidence".

If it weren't so dangerous and despicable; it actually would be laughable!!

I must not have been clear

Myfather, it appears you have mis-read my post. I believe the cigars were stolen. The clerk in the store knows the truth. But, what will his testimony be? If he is fearless, he will tell the truth. But, since the Black Panthers have likely threatened him, it is entirely possible that he might testify that Brown (or his accomplice) did indeed purchase the cigars even though he knows Brown did not pay. If he fears for his life, who knows what he might do?

There are still many more facts to come out.......

in this investigation!! It's reported now that Officer Wilson received a broken orbital bone along with other serious facial injuries. There is so much we still do NOT know, as to form an informed opinion on either side!!

The sad part is; it really doesn't matter to the protest and rioting mob!! NOTHING, and I mean nothing will satisfy this crowd, besides blood!! And the Governor, playing Obama politics, already calling for "vigorous prosecution" of this officer, without the process being complete!! This governor is an idiot coward, who doesn't even know the process!! You don't go forward with prosecution, without a grand jury indictment!! Who voted this moron into office??

Then, State Senator Jamilah Nasheed talking to the grand jury, saying "If you decide NOT to indict this police officer, the rioting we witnessed this past week will seem like a picnic compared to the havoc that will likely occur."

Well, I say BRING IT ON!! People need to stop being scared of these tactics!!

There is a system in this Country; whether you like it or not! When you have elected officials (Leftist officials, by the way) with this type rhetoric, are the citizens expected to behave better? There is no leadership left in this Country!!

This is exactly what happens, when you have weak, pathetic leadership!!

Richmond County vs. Ferguson

It's comforting that Richmond County has a black sheriff considering the large black population. I don't think he would put up with the riots like they have in Ferguson.

Sooner or later the police

Sooner or later the police will decide not to answer calls in a timely manner or maybe not at all in some neighborhoods if they feel like they will be put in the middle of a situation like Ferguson's cop. If these neighborhoods lost police protection maybe then they'd stop assaulting police officers either physically or verbally.

They are only hurting themselves, their families and their neighborhood businesses when they pull this baloney.

Riverman - we've got the

Riverman - we've got the black sheriff, but we don't have a leftie governor like Nixon in Missouri who has already tried and convicted the officer in his own mind and is peddling his opinion to the awaiting rioters.

This officer hasn't got a chance even if it's found to be a justifiable shooting unless that sorry friend of Brown's tells the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Otherwise, if a grand jury decides not to indict, this officer's life isn't worth a plug nickel.

Also, have you not noticed that our (not supposed to be muslim) president has abandoned Israel and encourages the liberal media outlets to shed Israel in a bad light.

Do we have An Agenda Of Hate

As many of us watch the NEWS from many various outlets we are also noting how certain Agenda Groups are pushing hard for increase unrest, hate and distrust. Just the opposite of what is needed in Ferguson, Mo. at this time.

The Last time I checked NO FEDERAL LAWS had been broken in this shooting. But for some reason the Fed's a need to eject themselves into the situation and make a big media show of looking into the case making comments on the case all before the initial results were even in.

It seems the FED's may even suspect the State of Missouri was not able conduct their own autopsy. After St. Charles conducted its Autopsy. It seems enough people, rechecked people, that rechecked people, that it would alleviate any idea of a coverup of the report. A report that discredited many HATEFUL Statements used to Incite the Rioters and Lotters. BUT NO, they played it in such a way, as to steer those already incited into increasing their distrust of local Police, & Local Government. It was played like, for any Justice to happen it needed to be at the Federal Level, because local government could not be trusted.

The White House, DOJ, FBI, the Governor, the local Political and Community Activists, 2 of the 3 24/7 NEWS Channels and the Race Card Factory circuit usual's, all now have stuck their noses in to this situation to obviously to STIR the pot, NOT turn the Heat Down.

But Why?

Now; even as people are coming forward, and discrediting much of the insinuations and inciteful remarks, made by the Hate Groups. The Hate Groups are trying harder to discredit the witnesses than those that just blabbed canned Hate Speak without even being there.

Why are certain hate groups working so hard to deny the facts and are now going after the witnesses?

We have heard already the eye witnesses stories don't match. But if they did we would be hearing the stories matched and there was a conspiracy. I remember a criminal Investigation class I took, where a guy ran in to the class and fire a cap pistol and ran out. 1/2 the class got the clothing wrong, a few the direction of travel, and a few the general physical description of the suspect. It taught me with any collection of people the details never match 100%. But, with careful review, many basic facts can be gleaned. When people are questioned and reviewed by a good investigator the basic details come to life.

SO WHY does the Agenda Of Hate continue push for greater Hate, given all the facts and testimony we have ?

2 of the 3, 24/7 NEWS/Entertainment channels even had split screens in what seemed a gauge to see how the NEWS Anchors comments might edge the crowd of protestors on into more looting and rioting.

WHY?

Godoy may get his civil war

Godoy may get his civil war yet and it seems the Obama administration and black community are trying to precipitate one-part of Cloward-Piven strategy for social unrest and high cost of repairs? You can't tell me the news media aren't making this about "race" rather than police brutality. I think we should come together as the human race to fight police brutality rather than not address police brutality and make this about race which will likely precipitate more police brutality as people loot and riot. Seems like Wag the Dog.

Police brutality? Have you

Police brutality? Have you seen what the police officer looks like? Do the police not have the right - and proper authority - to defend themselves and with force if necessary? This big "gentle giant" would have killed this officer if he had gotten hold of him a second time after beating him in his police car and trying to shoot him with his own gun.

AUGUSTA BUDGET

I too have been keeping a closer eye on the information provided and there appears to be a lot of 'nice to have' items not directly related to the operation of the city/county. I agree the purchase of bottled water and other 'comfort' items should stop. If the water provided by the city is good enough for us it is good enough for them. If they prefer bottled water they should have to purchase it themselves. Other 'treats' should be stopped also. Commissioners and other city employees are paid a salary and we should not treat them any different than ourselves. I will continue to review and question budget items. There is no need to increase taxes when there is so much waste and abuse. Thanks for your input.

Seenit, there used to be a strip club in San Francisco in the '60's that was called Bimbo's. Probably many of you are not old enough to remember a then famous stripper named Lilly St. Cyr. She came on stage scantily clad and stepped into a tub of bubbles - didn't show much of anything back then (thankfully). But I'll never forget that experience!

You're exactly right!! Police spend the majority of their time on duty, answering calls in these neighborhoods; because they haven't a clue how to act civilized!! We get the overwhelming majority of our calls for service, from this same group of people that you see rioting in Ferguson; again, because they don't know how to act and have shown that in Ferguson!!

Now, for those of you race fishermen, looking for a nibble; I'm not talking about black folks, I'm talking about a culture, the street culture!! Same culture applies to majority white, low income areas!! These people have no personal drive to work their way out of their circumstances; then want to blame everyone else for where they are!!

More dangerous than some can imagine...& the pay stinks.

I know the dangers...I lived with a man(husband) who gave his time & energy in security & fire dept work....ruined clothes---shoes--few vacations & little pay...kinda hard for some to really be off duty....always called back.

Ferguson will probably end up with a black Chief & that might be just what the town needs to happen.......it wouldn't surprise me if most leave that police force now.......I would look for another job......I only see danger in store for them.....it is a no win situation.
