Comments from readers:

THE GOVERNMENT IN Georgia needs to begin a mandatory refresher course for all current (and future) drivers in reading and understanding numbers. Upon completion of the course drivers would again recognize that pairs of numbers displayed along streets, roads and highways indicate the maximum speed limit.

WHEN THE GOVERNMENT talks about spending billions to house those crossing our borders illegally and our veterans are without homes and jobs something is terribly wrong.

THE FIRST TIME I told a Republican that Obama had deported more illegal aliens than any previous president they told me that was a stupid statement. After they looked up the figures on the Web, they apologized for being stupid.

I AM TIRED OF people portraying public safety and military individuals as normal. They are not normal. It is not normal to put aside personal safety to help others. It is not normal to stand in harm’s way for complete strangers. It is not normal to sacrifice one’s life to protect people who are not grateful. I am thankful beyond measure that these individuals are not normal.

DR. FRANK ROBERSON, a job opening is available. Paine College needs a person who has integrity, cares about the community and education. We know you are a diligent leader, and you are a champion for students and doing what’s right.

WHY DOES STARBUCKS let the man keep his computer on the table? He is there all the time. And taking up space.

I DON’T THINK I would take my business to anyone who had a house full of dogs.

I HAVE BEEN A patient at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center for seven years, and I have never had to wait 30 days. They are very concerned about my health. I get excellent medical care.

RAVE FOR THE governor of Texas. He is doing what our president should have done a long time ago. Bring our troops home; secure our borders between Canada and Mexico and if you want to come to this country, come legally. Ship all the illegals back to wherever they come from and then maybe we wouldn’t have to worry about terrorists so much.

No contact with house with dogs

I seriously doubt that he/she has a dog and would have to visit a kennel or a vet. Sad, a lot of people don't know how much joy they are missing, having a dog or cat as a friend. I'd rather deal with an animal many a time than some human beings.

"After they looked up the figures on the Web....

.... they apologized for being stupid."

They were stupid for apologizing.

Two things...

First, the Obama Administration changed the rules. They started counting people stopped at the border and turned back as deportations. It was smoke and mirrors. You have two choices...believe a known dishonest Administration, or....believe your own eyes.

Second... You can find lots of data on the web. You can "prove" either side of any argument if you look hard enough.

Obama has refused to enforce current immigration laws and has pretty much opened up the Southern border to anyone and everyone who wants to enter the United States. Hundreds of thousands of people of unknown background, unknown health status, unknown criminal background, and unknown motivation are flowing across the border to do who knows what when they get here. There is no "immigration" policy now except complete and total chaos.

We will pay a high price for it.

it's truly amazing how everyone blames obama for the people crossing the border, they've been doing it for years.a kid can pass over parts of the rio grande river.once obama leaves nothing will change.who will be blamed then? none of the other presidents did anything either.i'm not worried about those folks killing me,most of our problems are caused by american citzens.we live in a wonderful country that sadly is spoiled rotten.we need to weed out all of our un desirables, transfer them to remote islands, get them started, and bring them back when they decide to become usefull.the crime rate would disappear, gov't handouts would plummet, then you'd see the deadbeats make a miraculous turn around.dreaming? why not it doesn't cost a thing.

Harley, no, the Obama

Harley, no, the Obama Administration is following the immigration letter to the law. Immigrants aren't stupid; everyone is saying that they are from Central America and as such, are considered refugees. They have to have a hearing.

That's the law.

And if you don't like that law (I personally am tired of taking in every refugee on Earth), then contact your Congresspeople and tell them to change the law.

Those people don't have papers; the Border Patrol asks them if they are a citizen of the US, they say no, then the Border Patrol asks them where they were born- and I guarantee you that they all say they are from one of the refugee countries.

So everyone of them has to be investigated.

They don't have driver's licenses, they don't have birth certificates, they don't have diplomas. They have nothing to prove where they are born.

Dr. Robeson is impaired and

Dr. Robeson is impaired and just as he was not able to perform all the duties of a school superintendent, it would be highly unlikely that he could perform the duties of the president of the college. Because whoever has that job has a teetotallin' mess on their hands, worse than RCBOE, and that's saying something.

The floodwaters are much higher than you realize, people. Devote some thought, at this point, to how this all plays out.

"It is made from the Tobacco Plant."

Is it just me, or are other folks totally blown away by how quickly scientists figured out a derivative of the tobacco plant may hold the key to ebola vaccination?

How in the "H" did they figure that out? Why not a pineapple plant? Why not a carrot? There must be some pretty smart folks figuring all this stuff out and I'm glad we have them on our side.

The way the scam works is

The way the scam works is this. Border Patrol agents used to just turn back or drop illegals caught back across the border. Now the Border Patrol turns the illegals over to ICE and ICE turns them back over the border just ss the Border Patrol did except now it is called a deportation!

Conservatives predicted this type of scenario from the get go. Doctors are beginning to refuse Obamacare patients because of low reimbursement rates. Yea, you can keep your doctor, but he might not necessarily keep YOU! Thank you Democrats!

I'm happy they are finding

I'm happy they are finding alternate uses for tobacco. Maybe if they find more it will sustain the farmers as the demand for personal tobacco use dwindles. (and it will continue as people wise up)

I've noticed that in the last few days, if you provide evidence that something someone else posted is incorrect, even if it is done very respectfully, the post gets removed, and you are given no explaination. Used to be, you would at least get an email explaining what you did wrong....but no more.

Good Morning AUGUSTA

As I sit here on my back porch with Samsung tablet in my hand and a nice hot cup of coffee beside me, I am looking at about a 150-170lbs pasture fed Doe about 50 feet away, eating my grass at the edge of the woods.

The Doe can have it for the entertainment.☺

From stuaby's link

I said, sir, are you saying that people who eat in the food court can’t bow their heads and pray?” she said. “He said, ‘No ma’am.’ That’s exactly what he said.”

Something has gone horribly wrong in the USA...this is still the USA, right?

Praying inside the mall

I read the article and Yes I am strong believer in GOD.

But Is This A BAN On GOD?

Or a policy in place to avoid having to deal with the twilight zone nut cases shouting their beliefs, striping naked, conducting assisted suicide, etc..... Or those that create something just for the sake
of just being a pain in the rump to disturb others for publicity.

eg. Every one remembers that church group that was disrupting military funerals.

Google weird "Religious Cults in America" and start wondering if the insane asylums need to be reopened.

How would you like "The Church of Euthanasia" practicing in the Mall.

While I'll pray any where I want, I understand how the USA Legal system operates. By allowing 1 type to group conduct services and denying another, it would lead to massive Law Suits where the Lawyer get rich. Sometimes I honestly wonder if some lawyers stage these situations for frame and profit.

If the retelling of the Mall Security is balanced, he OVER
Reacted. There are better, less dramatic ways to have handled this.

Now back to my cold coffee.

Augusta Ranked High to "Retire on $75 a day"

US News and World Report has the top ten places to "Retire on $75 a day." Augusta is ranked second behind Akron, OH and before Chattanooga. Greenville is ranked in the top ten also. But, hey, they're not telling us anything we didn't know. Retire around here and live like millionaires do up north.

From the article: "The golf courses often draw retirees to Augusta, but it’s the low housing prices that will keep them here. The median monthly housing cost for people age 60 and older is $1,057 among homeowners with a mortgage, $329 for those who have paid it off and $616 in monthly rent."

I get that noc

But a slight bow & prayer over a meal shouldn't be a problem to others....

Can we see what we give up in the US by trying to please all.....I don't want others preaching at me inside the mall either BUT, we will never make everyone happy.

YEP! SIB4

135 years for multiple cases of Child Rape...

You'll get a kick out of the quote and the fact Jesse Jackson defends their practices.

"But the group has had defenders -- including the Rev. Jesse Jackson, and state Rep. Tyrone Brooks. In May 2002, Brooks told 11 Alive News: "They are industrial people. They are not violent people. They are -- and I don't consider them a cult, whatever that may be. I've only seen decent hardworking citizens from the Nuwaubians -- even Dr. Malachi York, their leader (the guy serving 135 years)."

Praying in the mall

That is a an appalling story! My family has always prayed before meals. There are a lot of us and we pray out loud. We don't yell of course, but anyone with a brain could see we are praying. With all of the terrible things that we know happen in malls, this should never have been addressed by security. I'm actually planning a trip to Dublin this month, so it seems my friends and I might just have to go have lunch in the food court! And, yes we will be saying a prayer before lunch...
