LOUISVILLE, Ga. — A third person has died from injuries sustained in a wreck near Wrens that killed two people Thursday, Jefferson County Coroner Edward James said.

Wakfwen Danpome, 44, originally from Nigeria but living in Savannah, died at 4:20 a.m. Friday.

Two women died Thursday afternoon in the accident on Highway 1.

Amy Caywood, 35, of Commerce, Ga., and Elise Cunningham, 49, of Louisville, died after their cars were struck by a U-Haul truck driven by Danpome, according to Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Fay McGahee.

The U-Haul sideswiped Caywood’s vehicle, then struck Cunningham’s vehicle head-on about 2:45 p.m., McGahee said.
