Rants & Raves

Comments from readers:

MR. OBAMA’S POLICIES, scandals and controversies are the root of displeasure with him, not his color. President Bush was more maligned during his term than Mr. Obama. Democrats called him many hateful names – stupid, warmonger and liar. Mr. Bush served honorably in the military, made excellent college grades, and he made the mistake of believing Mr. and Mrs. Clinton, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid when they stood on their respective podiums in 1998 and claimed Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction. Then they claimed Mr. Bush lied. Shame on the Democrats.

THIS IS A RAVE FOR John Barrow, as the only Democrat (others are boycotting) on the Select Committee investigating Benghazi you deserve to be re-elected. Your tenacity in obtaining White House, State Department, Defense Department, and Central Intelligence Agency cooperation and documentation will not go un-rewarded by Georgia voters. Or should I be writing a rant because you sit on the sideline and help others conceal the truth?

GBI HAS COMPLETED its investigation into former City Administrator Fred Russell’s deleted files and filed no criminal charges. Did race play a factor into why Fred Russell was not probed?

MORE WHITES BELIEVE in Ghosts Than Racism. Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling’s derogatory remarks about blacks are more evidence that racism is still part of American culture, but “things have to change.”

IS IT APPROPRIATE FOR a supervisor to make an announcement about someone possible running against the sheriff in 2018? It was odd when it happened the other day.

RANT FOR YOU homeowners. It is a blessing to own a home. What is so hard to get out there and clean your yard up?

Rant #3

If the GBI investigated Mr. Russell's deleted files, I'd say that the allegation against him was probed. What was your point in bringing the race question into it?

That is the indisputable truth; it is a matter of record. How the primitives on the left can still chant "he lied" is beyond comprehension.

In my opinion, Barrow is an opportunistic fence rider who plays both sides of the ball to his best advantage. In other words, I think he is more interested in keeping John Barrow on the gravy train than he is in taking firm stands. (ala Bill Clinton)

Define racism for me, then bigotry. Explain the difference between the two and then tell me what Sterling did that was racist.

I would say race was WHY his files were looked into; just because of innuendo from people like you, who would holler racism if they didn't.

GOOD MORNING

Just wanted to share something unusual.

The KFC Saturday Late Morning/Noon Staff at the Tobacco Rd and Windsor Spring location were great.

Watching them get things done as a team with little directions and actually get my order right was refreshing.

itsanotherday1, I'm black and

itsanotherday1, I'm black and even I'm sick of hearing about racism. I'm sure that you've got to be apoplectic, by now, over constantly hearing this word being thrown out there.

I do know what's behind the push to keep "racism" front and center, however.

INDIVIDUAL Racism as part of American culture

The Local, County, State & Federal Governments no longer allow racism legally as was the case prior to 1960's.

JIM CROW was long buried across the USA and THAT WAS 50 YEARS AGO.

What we now have are a few idiots on both sides, that from time to time will let loose with a stupid remark, and give the papers and Race Pimps the headlines they need to make $$$$$. But, while some might mouth off in private and a lot fewer in public,
RACISM IS OFFICIALLY & LEGALLY DEAD IN AMERICAN.

FACT: The older the person the more likely the stupid remark.

National poll after national poll has found, that in the USA ,TODAY the Black Community tends to harbor more racist like attitudes, than the White community towards opposite colors.

Many sum up White America now, as having an unfavorable opinion, or feeling, formed from stereotypical statistically documented knowledge, which has lead to a preconceived opinions.
Example Given: It is a fact that a black man is 7x(+/-) more
likely to be, robbed, killed or shot by another Black man than a White. So often in fact, both communities call this B.O.B. crime

OLD vs NEW
What this New generation of Race Pimps calls Racism, is nothing like the 1700-1960's was in America. We have come a long long way and once the older generations die off, we will have fewer and fewer closet racists.

But. we'll always have Race Pimps and the occasional racist bigot.
However, America will never have what it had prior to 1964 again.

ranter #1: you are spot on.
Unpublished

ranter #1: you are spot on. a ranter the other day claimed the current prez 'inherited' a mess from bush, but that's simply not true. bush inherited the mess left by that bumbling idiot bill clinton, who was more interested in pah-taying down with his interns than t.c.b. everyone thought ole bill was so cool, look! he plays the sax and invites famous rock bands to the white house and oh, gee golly whiz, who cares if the world is running amok and invading our shores illegally every day, we'll worry 'bout that t'morrow, rhett! and of course, the dumbo-craps still continue to play their wearisome game of 'deny, deny, deny, counter-accuse, deny' tactics, cause that's about all they know how to do: that, and totally screw up everything in which they have a hand.
ranter 4: the white basketball owner was speaking in private, being illegally taped while doing so. what if you were in the privacy of your home, making some offhand remark against whites that was illegally recorded, then you got persecuted for it later? how would you feel? like a secure american citizen? or would you be full of self-righteous rage that your privacy was invaded and even your own home is no longer a safe haven where you can voice your thoughts without worrying about being p.c.? my advice to the white basketball owner: quit acting like a fool and supporting young women in the mistaken belief that they love you; these chicks are gold-diggers, make their living on their back and going to the plastic surgery on a yearly basis for upgrades to their bosoms, butts, lips, cheekbones, etc., all on a rich old fool's dime. more shame on them for being leeches and users than on an old man for having his opinion.

"MORE WHITES BELIEVE in

"MORE WHITES BELIEVE in Ghosts Than Racism."

Heh heh heh.....you got any research statistics to back up that statement sunshine?

I definitely believe in racism and most of the racism I see comes from the black community. However, like everything else nowadays they get a free pass on their racism. Sterling has paid a huge price for his private "racist" comment. Please tell me any black person that has paid any price at all for their racist comments, action, attitudes, or false accusations.

Race: Fred Russell?

"GBI HAS COMPLETED its investigation into former City Administrator Fred Russell’s deleted files and filed no criminal charges. Did race play a factor into why Fred Russell was not probed?"

Racist Marion Williams was the main catalyst that caused an investigation and race (Marion vs all whites) was the only reason!

GW Bush didn't make excellent

GW Bush didn't make excellent grades, he got mercy C's at Yale, because he was a legacy from his father and grandfather.

George the father was the one that was the scholar.

But let's not forget the truly ridiculous carrying on about where Obama was born. Notice how that's no longer an issue, now that everybody's all fired up about a 2 year old event, Benghazi?

President Obama - Still Unavailable and were sealed by his lawyers
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2012/may/28/obama-ducks-calls-to-rel...

Al Gore
Gore’s the brainiest politician around, right? Possibly, but you wouldn’t know it from looking at his Harvard transcript. Gore apparently spent quite a bit of time loafing during his sophomore year, and some of his grades weren't very good: a D, a C-minus, two C’s, two C-pluses, and a B-minus, marks that put him in the lowest fifth of his class. Strangely enough, the D came in a class that sounds like it would be right in Gore’s wheelhouse: Natural Sciences 6 (Man’s Place in Nature).

George W. Bush
Gore’s foe in the 2000 presidential election takes a lot of ribbing for his intellect, but his college grades at Yale were more mediocre than embarrassing. Through his first three years at Yale, Bush’s grades averaged out to 77 on a 100-point scale. He only received one D during his college career, in an astronomy course.

John Kerry
Like Bush, Kerry attended Yale. And he had some really rotten grades, particularly during his freshman year. As a Yale frosh, Kerry rang up D’s in geology, two history classes, and – strangely enough for a future Senator – political science. While Kerry’s 2004 campaign presented him as a more cerebral alternative to Bush, the two men’s grades at Yale were roughly equivalent.

Joe Biden
By all accounts, Biden wasn’t the world’s greatest student, but he made up for his academic shortcomings with sheer likability. Biden ranked 506th out of 688 students in the University of Delaware’s class of 1965, but a professor still recommended him for law school “on grounds of personality and general promise.” The future VP didn’t exactly turn on the jets once he got to law school, either. He finished 76th in his class of 85 students at Syracuse, and admitted to plagiarism in his first year of law school. But again, a dean recommended him for a job on the basis of his “confidence,” “general physical appearance,” and “general speaking ability.”

Richard Nixon
Unlike the other names on this list, Nixon was actually an excellent student. After Whittier College, Nixon went on to Duke Law, where he graduated third in his class in 1937. He also served as president of the Duke Bar Association. But we're including him because his good grades didn't earn him much respect from his alma mater.
