Rants & Raves

Comments from readers:

A RANT TO Augusta Commission members Johnson and Fennoy for claiming the riverwalk attack was “nowhere near as bad as it seems” and “blown out of proportion.” These young people were brutally assaulted and have recovered thanks to love and prayer and no thanks to you. A rant to The Chronicle for running an article about their wedding even though they said they declined an interview and are trying to stay out of the media.

A RANT AT COMCAST, which has failed to provide Internet and cable connectivity to an area in Evans. No explanation is provided. Requested return calls from a supervisor were ignored.

RANT TO GOV. DEAL for signing HB 826 bill, which allow guns in church. This new legislation makes guns more available and could allow violence to escalate.

UNLESS THE RUSSIANS cross the Polish border, what is going on in Eastern Europe is none of our concern. Protect our own borders. America first!

ARTICLES BEING PRINTED in “Latest from News-Times” are growing moss, such as the woman who walked away from her flipped car. Wasn’t that about two weeks ago?

WE ATTENDED Archaeology Day at the Ezekiel Harris House. A big rave to the Augusta Archaeology Society, especially Lloyd Schroder for viewing, discussing and dating my husband’s collection of artifacts. It was time well-spent learning the history of some of our artifacts.

ARE 12 YEARS of Ron Cross more than enough? He helped keep the tax office matter quiet. what else has he done?

TRAVEL ALONG MANY roads in Richmond County and you see ice storm debris stacked all over. The south end has tons, much of it not picked up from the first so-called pickup. It’s time to start mowing rights of way. Commissioners, you get gas allowance. No excuse here.

WHEN WILL THE leaders and parents of some of our communities take charge and do something about the constant and daily crime, especially the shooting and violence? Stop waiting for government to do it for you. It all starts with you.

I VOTED TODAY and voted against Nathan Deal in the Republican primary. He has done nothing for our area.

HB 826

It's about time people are allowed to pack heat in church legally. Who can imagine a church service without the comfort of knowing someone is there with a hog leg to deal with some maniac? Brings new meaning to the words "Baptism by fire".

Neville Chamberlain

I swear Neville Chamberlain is sending in rants. Chamberlain is known for his appeasement policy. After Hitler took Austria, Chamberlain conceded the German-populated Sudetenland region to Germany. Of course, Hitler, seeing the weakness, invaded Poland. "Peace in our time," alright.

Instead of looking for the one thing to gripe about in HB 826

why not focus on what it allows and still disallows?

I'll tell you why, The person likely has an Anti-Self Protection Agenda person. It not the idea that concealed weapon can be carried to church that bothers the person, IF the ranter even attends Church its the IDEA the over restrictive Firearms Laws have been logically relaxed.

NOTE: Even tho the laws says it is ok, it still requires the Church OK"s it. (The Lib's forget to mention that part for some reason?)

I challenge the RANTER actually to READ the WHOLE Bill here it
is: http://www.legis.ga.gov/Legislation/20132014/144999.pdf

and then tell me after the Va Tech and Sandy Hook Massacres that allowing Staff with school permission to carry on campus is a bad thing?

Tell me how allowing an Adult 21+ that has undergone an extensive
background check is not far safer, than some NUT JOB walking on to campus to shoot it up? A campus, until this bill was passed, could/would not allow even STAFF (by the previous law) to carry.

NO, LIBERALS LIVE TO BAN & PROTEST what others have and replace it with what THEY FEEL WE SHOULD USE OR HAVE.

The Liberal agendas in the USA do not sound Liberal to me, they sound more and more like Fascism.

Fascism= Forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing aggressive racism.

"Sorry arse braves"

After watching them get swept at home by the Giants it is very difficult to watch the Braves. At least it looks like they are folding early instead of waiting until September.

Stuaby was taken to task for

Stuaby was taken to task for posting some of the possible eventualities of Democrat rule, one being the requirement to abort "defective" fetuses such as those with Down's syndrome.

Regardless of who is in DC, it appears it won't need to be a requirement. Unrestricted abortion seems to have already made it common.

'The high rate of abortion after a diagnosis of Down Syndrome was reported in the New York Times as early as 2007 and has been confirmed by several different studies.

“About 90 percent of pregnant women who are given a Down syndrome diagnosis have chosen to have an abortion,” reported The Times.'

A Quick Good Morning "Great" America.

Busy day for me again but I will post my one liner for Ranter 3 and leave.

Lets wait and see when the next anti-Christ walks into a church with an Semi-automatic Saiga shotgun and wipes out most of the congregation..

What will Ranter 3 have to say then?

Instead of 30 killed ... It could have been only 5!!

itsa, no, Stuaby didn't say a word about aborting defective fetuses with Down's Syndrome.

He posted about EUTHENASIA of infants born with Down's Syndrome. There is a BIG difference.

@Brad Owens About Matt Kwatinetz

Brad Owens chastised the commenters on a thread yesterday for being unfair with Matt Kwatinetz, Deke’s pal and head of his Augusta Regional Collaboration organization. Among other things he said, “RM1, ARC isn't paying his salary, he is not a county employee.”

Here is my reply:
Brad, since we have no idea of the accounting of the ARC, we have no idea what portion of the money goes directly to him. We know the county has given him $100,000 so far even though private concerns have contributed also. Plus the county is about to give him over $5 million. He doesn’t lay out his plans, salary or accounting. You don’t know how much he is keeping for himself either.

You’ve had this series of meetings with Matt Kwatinetz and say we shouldn’t be ruled by emotion. You have the facts and first-hand knowledge, you say. You’re not dealing with conjecture, you point out. So help us all out here. I’m kind of like Brad Means when he did the interview with Matt K, you comment you know something, but don’t tell us what it is, leaving us with even more questions. For the love of all the county, can you tell us what the plans are and how the money will be accounted for? I mean we don’t want to deal with conjecture. We know he had plans for Fort Discovery, but that business chose North Augusta instead. Matt K warned the TV reporter asking about the plans that he would mess up the deal in what I personally thought was a silly accusation.

Lastly, you seem to be greatly impressed by his personality. Can you describe what that is about? Deke was also infatuated with him so much he gave him a job and got over $5 million sent his way.

People like that interest me. I’ve seen a few over the years. I’m not trying to put words in your mouth, but would it be fair to say his personality is what you admire most? Or are you knowledgeable of his plans and accounting of the money?

Guns in Church

I serve as a "watchman" at my church. We had a young man walk into a service claiming to know who the Anti-christ was and where he lived. I escortedmhim out and to a classroom to "write down" his information while another member called 911. Police arrived as he was leaving, said they had no reason to detain him! Sheez! With this new law, I will feel more secure next time!

"Euthenasia" isn't that what

Most Dictators called it that and some even called it a "Solution.
some refer to it as a "Cleansing".

What do all of these have in common?
Forcibly suppressing any moral opposition, while introducing the new moral code followed by emphasizing aggressive socialist standards along with playing to a some form of racism or discrimination or bigotry.

The Difference Between Abortion And Euthanasia....

...as regards human life, is nothing more than a rationalization. In each case a human life is involved, of that there is no scientific, or ethical doubt.

There is, however, a LEGAL doubt cast by an agenda driven, politically motivated Supreme Court Decision. So, we find ourselves in the remarkable position of having legalized the immoral, scientifically unjustified, murder of innocent life.

Stand on your legal decision and murder (or argue in favor of murdering) innocent human beings who cannot defend themselves and who have no effective advocates.

God is watching, so are moral, ethical people who understand that the legal sanctification of a moral crime was a mistake and an abomination.

Regarding Gun laws,

they are an excellent example of how well meaning laws actually endanger the public. We have laws to prevent HONEST people from doing something. But we have a criminal element that does not
obey laws and obtains what it wants anyway they can.

So NO Law on the books Prevents a criminal from obtaining a firearm or doing something illegal with firearms once obtained.

So would not the solution be to allow non-felons to arm themselves with the same ease as criminals?

For some reason Liberals don't think so. They trust the courts to handle it AFTER THE CRIME has been completed. But we gripe everyday here that Criminals serve < than 1/2 of their sentence, get out and are doing it again and some are even murders.

BTW:
40% of all firearms on the streets were obtained Illegally.
This is an increase not a decline since the Brady Bill.

Great post Riverman…..

….I'll put it more succinctly…

Matt K is the "bag man" for the elites who want to pursue their pet projects by sticking their hand in MY wallet to do it…

As I said on another thread, let the SPLOST fail and watch K disappear faster than a raindrop on a hot summer blacktop..

His allegiance is to the highest bidder…Not Augusta..

But I don't blame him necessarily ..Thats his job..his profession..

Who I blame are those who buy this claptrap that handing over 5.5 million of OUR money to this guy will suddenly make the clouds part and the angels sing….Buying property that we can't afford for a project no one wants is a colossal waste of our money and their political capital….

To that point ,if this SPLOST fails, ( and I sincerely hope it does)..we need to remember those, in and out of government who were for it…and treat them accordingly..

The Main Reason....

...most liberal women hate Sarah Palin is that she is a better person than they are and THEY KNOW IT. Tearing her down is the only way thy can achieve equality, they think.

She knew she was going to have a Downe's Syndrome child and chose not to abort him. She knew he was still a human life and a person who would develop his own personality and his own set of skills and emotions. She knew he deserved a chance at life and that to murder him in the womb was unthinkable, for a moral mother.

If a child cannot trust his own mother, who can he trust?
