Fort Gordon hosts job fair Tuesday

Fort Gordon will hold a job fair for military veterans Tuesday.

More than 50 employers will be searching to fill full- and part-time positions. Delta Air Lines, Verizon Wireless, Wal-Mart, Augusta Technical College and the South Carolina Department of Corrections are some of the companies attending.

From 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., the job fair will be open to Warrior Transition Battalion soldiers. The fair is open to the public from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The sad part is that most of those big-name employers aren't hiring, they go there as part of being "a good community citizen."

If you had a good job to offer someone, why on Earth would you go to a job fair?
