The Nuclear Regulatory Commission will discuss findings from its routine inspections of Plant Vogtle at a public meeting in Waynesboro on April 24.

During an open house beginning at 6 p.m., NRC representatives will be available to answer questions on the safety performance, oversight and inspection of Units 1 and 2.

A separate presentation on inspection and oversight of Units 3 and 4 construction activities will begin at 7 p.m. It will be followed by a question-and-answer session.

Both meetings will be held in the auditorium at Augusta Technical College’s Waynesboro campus, 216 Georgia Highway 24 South.

According to a news release, NRC inspections returned no safety issues or performance indicators to increase oversight at Units 1 and 2. Vogtle site construction has been conducted in compliance with NRC regulations.
