SIGNING UP FOR Healthcare.gov was simple. It only took three months, four applications, three hours-long phone calls, two uploads of financial info and one premium payment later canceled. How much simpler could it be?

I WOULD LIKE TO thank the Richmond County judge who decided that my dogs needed to be put to death for a mistake that I made. He never bothered to ask how I was able to pay for any of the medical attention they needed because if he had I could have explained that my mother had died in December and had left an insurance policy that enabled me to pay for her funeral with some left over which I used to pay for it.

NOT ONLY SHOULD welfare recipients be required to pass drug tests, if they fail they should be arrested and prosecuted for fraud. I have to pass random drug tests in order to earn an honest living for my family and am sick and tired of supporting deadbeat crack heads.

A RANT TO THE gentleman who believes left-turn drivers always have to yield to right turn drivers. Check your facts and the law. This is not universal. Intersections with right turn yield signs must yield to left turn drivers. You can see this at numerous intersections in Augusta. One such intersection is Furys Ferry Road and Riverwatch.

IT’S GREAT TO SEE that Columbia County has high school sports. Too bad Richmond County doesn’t offer any for their students ... Wait, maybe they do but you wouldn’t know it according the paper. Why doesn’t Richmond County get the same sports front-page color articles like Columbia County?

HOORAY, HOORAY, hooray. I would vote for the 12 members of the jury that convicted the Hargrove fellow. It is time people in Augusta got the backbone to convict some of these killers with the death sentence and let them meet their maker.

RANT FOR RICARDO Azziz. If he really knew what people think of him, he would be amazed. He was selected by Nathan Deal and the Regents to do the dirty work.

CAN ANYTHING BE done about the number of burned-out lights at the Riverwalk, especially down near the museum? It is very dark in a lot of areas.

THERE IS NO NEED for us poor taxpayers to pay to have those rich people’s trees removed. Let them do it themselves. They built those houses in those trees. Let them clear them when they fall down.

'Royal' Couple Allegedly Claimed Welfare and Food Stamps
Unpublished

While living on $1.2 million Yacht.

A Minnesota couple who allegedly to be Scottish aristocrats are on the run, accused if claiming public assistance benefits while living on their $1.2 million yacht and driving a $30,000 Lexus. Andrea Chisholm,54 and Colin Chisholm III ,62, allegedly collected more than $167,000 in welfare, food stamps and medical assistance across two states over a period of around seven years, according to a complaint filed with a Minnesota State court. For the past month, Hennepia County Sheriff's Department has been searching for the couple who are still at large, according to a statement issued by the Hennepin County Attorney, Mike Freeman.

Keep Obamacare, fix it, and shut up about it!.

Enough already with talking about Obamacare, despite it's overall underwater approval, however, the public is really, ready to accept the law and wants Congress to work in fixing it. The public, that is, except for the 39 percent that Republicans are playing for.

I am amazed!

7. Someone actually has the nuggets to try and walk on Riverwalk at night? I carry, and don't fear much, but to me that is just asking for trouble.

2. I feel bad for your dogs, but a responsible owner keeps them inside a yard, or on a leash, and fully vaccinated. Most dogs get out occasionally, but they would have to be repeat offenders to be euthanized for it. If your dogs bit someone, and were not vaccinated against rabies, that is your fault. Shots are less than $10. If your dogs attacked someone, or were very aggressive, then you should have made very certain that the dogs could not escape their yard.

3. Welfare recipients should have to pass random drug tests, and be prosecuted for testing positive. They should also have their checks stopped if they have more than one child(unless twins) while on the welfare system. That would help with the more babies, more money system that we have today.

6. I too commend those jurors. I wish i happened more often, and that death row was days or weeks long instead of years.

Fix It?

You can't fix fascism. You've got to replace it with libertarianism.

You are correct and furthermore, as far as I've been able to ascertain, any time you see a yield sign on a right turn, yield means yield. It matters not if the left turner is turning on an arrow or the same green light you have, you must yield, period.

Please allow me to re-post his rant:

Maybe this is why there are a lot of traffic crashes at Furys Ferry Road and Riverwatch.

I just commented earlier

I just commented earlier today about the necessity of educated youngsters on the perils of teen pregnancy.

Here is a fine example of what happens when you do.

sorry, no, you can't have any

sorry, no, you can't have any lighting at the riverwalk; how could the muggers and thugs operate under light? perhaps the citizenry of augusta need to get the sheriff's office to request another grant from the state, like they rec'd the grant for the extra cop cars just to focus on (gasp!) those hateful criminal drivers out there, and then y'all could get some lights down there. but don't hold your breath. next time you have some sort of strange urge to go there at night, make sure you take a flashlight, some mace, and some type of weapon for self-defense. don't look for the cops....remember, they're busy targeting the real criminals: drivers!

Why is not a law on book for elected official to be drug tested?

Flordia Republican Congressman Trey Radel was charged with cocaine possession. This congressman wanted and voted "yes" to test all food stamp recipients while he was enjoying his own cocaine purchases. Did Congressman Trey Radel (FL) buy cocaine with taxpayer dollars?

iaffg, sorry, I don't agree

iaffg, sorry, I don't agree with you. If you've ever been in a serious car accident, or know someone that has, you know that there are some very dangerous drivers out there.

They are just as dangerous as a criminal with a gun, but their weapon of choice is a 3.000 lb. car.

First Doctor Visit in Five Years. Why Republicans Want Us Broke

or Dead.

I went to the doctor for the first time in five yrs last week. Although I'm young, I had neglected a couple of Heath issues for at least a yr. I couldn't afford care and was left hoping none of them developed into anything more serious. As a small business owner who narrowly missed the threshold for buying on the exchanges, I'm enrolled in Medicaid for this year until I can bump my income up a bit. The day my confirmation of benefits and card came was among the best of my life. I nearly broke down in tears. But that isn't what this diary is about. I went to the doctor for the first time in five yrs and saw first hand why Republicans have fought tooth and ns for a system that was so broken for every working poor families. Thanks for Obamacare the system is working for the poor families. That's why it's very important uninsured Georgians and minorities get out and vote in the November election, seven months away. It's imperative Georgians elect Jason Carter, a Democrat, to be the next governor for Georgia.

Did NOC Find A House - NO but still looking

If it were just for me, a 1 bed 1 bath 600 sqft cabin on a ridge just off Tusquitte Crk USFS Rd. 440 in Clay NC. would do fine. But it is not just me. It is also my wife, her 87+ Y/o Mother and the medical future medical needs that are making this hunt, a one in a 1000.

Sharing another House Hunting Story.
We arrived at the scheduled house viewing time. The people inside asked
for another 30 mins to clean up and took our numbers. We waited on the
curb for about an hour for the promised call but never got it. So our
agent knocked on the door the people refused to answer.

So our agent called the listing agent, and was informed the "renters" just called her to say they had gotten sick suddenly and would be unable to show the house today.

Deeper discussion turned up the "renters" had previously hinted they wanted relocation $,$$$, to allow the showing of the house before their lease expired.

-----------
BTW:
We check out both lake properties.
Now we know why we did not get the disclosures ahead of time:
1 had flooded the basement in the last 5 years,
the other had serious mold.

An so goes the Adventures in Remote House Hunting

Remember the Original LIE

Obamacare was desperately needed to cover the
45 Million UN-INSURED in AMERICA.
But they can't even sign up 9 Million that want it for free.
A MAJORITY of America acknowledge, this has been a LIE from the Get Go.

The problem now is,
the Socialists and Liberals are so far down the Rabbit Hole they
can't back out without major political damage. So they double down and are going for broke.

They have made it abundantly clear;

It ain't about the uninsured, if it ever was, it isn't what's good for America any more, if it ever was, it is NOW ONLY
about Political Party CYA.

Hey all those lights on

Hey all those lights on Riverwalk were fixed last summer after the beating of the couple, right? At least the city said they were fixed. Guess not, huh? You would think Paul would exert some pressure to get that done with Masters coming up next week.

Lights on Riverwalk

Well, the city maintenance crews work nine to five; hence they can't tell which lights are burned out in the daytime. Perhaps, as a public service, Countyman or even Lowell Greenbaum could make it a point to walk the entire length of Riverwalk after dark once a week and report to Tameka Allen which pole numbers have burned-out bulbs. It would be a nice exercise in civic service.

I would love for all those in dire straits to have insurance - I have a grown child that didn't have it for two years - scary! I like many others on here have worked with the govt and it is one big screw up. The Feds can't even get the damn computer programs or phones to work - the idea was great, but it ain't working.
