Savannah River Site public information session Thursday

A public information session on various Savannah River Site projects, programs and missions will be held Thursday.

The free event is from 6 to 8 p.m. Registration for presentations begins at 5 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. Topics include nuclear materials management, waste management, the Savannah River National Laboratory and environmental monitoring and restoration.

Each presentation will last about 45 minutes. Participants can attend two of the four sessions.

The sessions will be at the H. Odell Weeks Activities Center, 1700 Whiskey Road, Aiken.
