Area residents who rely on WOW! as their internet and cable provider can expect full service to return by Thursday at the latest, spokeswoman Beverly Wall said Monday.

Monday evening, WOW! had 12 crews in the Augusta area working to restore service to about 800 customers.

Wall estimated that the Grovetown area will be reconnected by the end of the day Tuesday, and the Walton Way area should have service restored by Wednesday afternoon.

The company expects to have 100 percent of its service restored by Thursday evening.

What About Comcast?

This is a nice update regarding WOW, but the Chronicle, should include a similar update from their rival, Comcast, which serves a much larger customer base. While your at it, include an update from AT&T and their landline phone network.

I started calling WOW after

I started calling WOW after power resumed on Saturday evening. A limb had downed the cable line. I couldn't make contact with a service rep until Monday morning. Amazingly, they had a truck out within a couple of hours. Quickest service call response I've had with cable.

Terrible Service
Unpublished

I've had terrible service from WOW. Their telephone hold times are ridiculous even in normal times. I want to know if they are going to issue a credit for all the time we were unable to use the service we pay for. I can't get an answer from WOW unless I call and hold for 15 minutes +. Georgia Power only charges for the amount of electricity consumed; cable companies charge flat monthly fees whether you use, or are even able to use, the service or not.
