THIS IS A RANT to the person who messed with my motorcycle at Logan’s on MLK Day. Didn’t anyone ever teach you to never mess with another man’s bike? I promise I didn’t do anything to the truck that you couldn’t park without messing with my property. Especially since it looks like you dropped or tipped it.

I’VE NEVER KNOWN a man whose waking hours seem to be consumed with another man’s “hard drive”. Would someone please let Marion Williams have a peek at Fred’s so that we can move on?

RAVE FOR THE policeman that lost his job for hitting the kid who ran. I am on your side. You can go out any night and see young kids roaming the streets late. Irresponsible parents let their kids loose with no guidance. Somebody sometime will have to deal with them. It is insanity to take the job of a working person just because you don’t discipline your own kids. Give the policeman his job back

WOW! BILL KIRBY’S bio on George P. Burdell is his best work!! Funny, informative, and perfectly served with a taste of corporate self-deprecation. Makes me glad to be a subscriber.

RANT FOR THE CITY of Augusta. Give the policeman his job back. He gets the blame for irresponsible parents letting the unruly kids roam the streets late at night. Why wasn’t a 15 year old at home being watched by his parents? Insanity

I DROVE BY SO much trash and litter on the John C. Calhoun Expressway today. Many of our out of town visitors for the Futurity also use this road. With all the city employees, why doesn’t Augusta have a cleanup detail for events like the Futurity, other than the Masters? It’s not the only game in town!

I WAS IN GRANITEVILLE the other day and got behind a pickup with a decal on his rear window that said “OBAMA- YOU CAN’T FIX STUPID!” BEST ONE I’VE SEEN IN A LONG TIME!! YOU GO, DUDE!

A HUGE RANT TO Marion Williams. “People who live in glass houses should not throw stones.” I don’t know what you are looking for in another’s files but it is public knowledge that YOU are reluctant to pay your own taxes. Meanwhile, many have seen you waste multiple thousands of dollars on racing cars at the drag strip. I bet some people would like to see YOUR files.

WE HAVE GONE from “I have a dream” to “I have a scheme.”

Futurity and Master's Two Different Things

While it's a noble idea to keep the John C. Calhoun clean all the time, and the rest of the roads, keep in mind the Futurity doesn't bring into town nearly what the Master's does. Plus the Master's pays extra to help the city manage the huge influx.

To the Raver who is defending

To the Raver who is defending the police fired for hitting a kid, I will bet you are just livid that the police involved in the Justin Bieber arrest didn't shoot or hit him. And I haven't read or heard of anyone calling him a "thug."
Um. There is something strange about that and I just can't put my hands on it.

Corgimom

To some people, truth never matters more than agenda!! Rush Limbaugh and Glen Beck both called Bieber a punk and "thug". Herman Cain called Bieber a "thug" and made very clear his definition of "thug", saying "thug" has no color, it's a lifestyle choice!! It's ANY person who chooses to live a life of criminal activity!!

But, never underestimate SOME peoples desire to use the race card!!! They are ALWAYS carrying it in their pocket and are prepared to throw it out, any given second!!!

Just like Richard Sherman!! I

Just like Richard Sherman!! I was on this dudes side about running his big mouth, until he had to say that "thug" is basically the "N-Word" of today!!

How pathetic is that? YOU MR. SHERMAN acted like a moron, screaming in the face of a female journalist!! Saying stuff that NOONE except you and Crabtree were familiar with, and now it's everyone elses fault? People are racist because they use the word "thug"? Maybe you should learn a little self control and respect!! Don't act like a thug and you won't get called a thug!! Yes, Bieber acts like a THUG DAILY!!!

No scheme,just another struggle.

Each year, we honor the memory of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We honor his struggles and his triumphs. We honor his work to stand up to racial injustice and to help America move one step closer to her founding promise of equality. But when Dr. King was taken from us, he was engaged in another struggle - a struggle that was no less challenging, a struggle that he believed was essential to America's soul. It was the struggle to end poverty. And it is a struggle that is still with us today. For years now, we have heard the claim that America is broke, that we cannot afford to invest in our children and that we must tell our seniors to try to get by on less. We face a world in which these born in wealth will have plenty of opportunity, but those born in poverty have little chance to escape a world in which people work their hearts out and barely hang on. That is not the Promise of American life. That was not the American of Dr. King's dreams. And that must not be our American future. In 1967, Dr. King told us what it would take to combat poverty. He said: We are called to play the Good Samaritan on life's roadside; but that will be only an initial act. One day we must come to see that the whole Jericho Road must be transformed so that men and women will not be constantly beaten and robbed as they make their journey on life's highway. True compassion is more than flinging a coin to a beggar. It comes to see that an edifice which produces beggars needs restructuring. We are now engaged in a great debate over poverty and inequality. And as Dr. King argued, " true compassion is more than flinging a coin to a beggar." Our success as a community in Richmond County will be measured not by the riches of a few, but by the success of many. There are some people say that this is a "SCHEME" and perhaps less that we can do together, as a country. Dr. King had a response to them. He said, " there is no deficit in human resource; the deficit is in human will." In this, the richest and most powerful country in the world, we can expose the symptoms and cause of poverty, just as Dr. King's nonviolence " exposed the ugliness of racial injustice." " In the final analysis, " Dr. King said, " the rich must not ignore the poor because both rich and poor are tied in a single garment of destiny. All life is interrelated, and all men are interdependent." The struggle may be fierce for young black men, the climb uphill, the obstacles tall. But in a democracy,we, the people, get to choose our destiny, and we can choose a country that lives up to America's founding promise and achieves Dr. King's dreams.

Babyboy, the poor have and

Babyboy, the poor have and will always be with us. Some have more get up and go than others. It is wrong to take from those of us who work hard for our familys and ourselves and give to those that do not. Culture will have to change for alot more to get alot more. As a successful perosn it is not mine or anybody elses fault that some do not succeed.

The "T" word

No one owns the word THUG.

The Word THUG has been around for 300+ years, It was used by the British in India to describe an Cult Gang of Murders that strangled their victims.

The Word THUG was around way before the Black Culture Thug style came into being in the last 25 years.

Define Thug

What I see in my dictionary is:
A cruel or vicious ruffian, robber, or murderer.

For 300+ years THUG has been associated with Criminal activities,
not the "N"word.

So if a person does not want to be associated with or accused of being a THUG (criminal), then don't look like, act like and don't be a THUG.

If it walks like duck, swims like a duck, quacks like a duck, then its a Duck. I not going to stop calling a Duck, a duck because it upsets a Duck.

BTW:
Anyone else tried of Special Interest Groups re-defining words to fit their agendas or remodel, re-image themselves?

Then telling us we must use a word to mean this or that, or not at all instead?

Most People In America....

...have no idea what "poor" really means.

"Poor" people don't drive nice cars, live in nice homes, have flat screen tvs, smart phones, and EBT cards. Those kind of people are "rich" in most other societies on earth.

America's middle class have become America's "Poor" by design. Our government has re-defined "poor" so they can continue to buy votes and eliminate the middle class.

It's all part of the plan.

The Use Of The Word "Thug"....

...carries no racial connotations. People who claim it does are either ignorant of the meaning of the word, intentionally racially derisive, sheep, or supporters of re-defining the English language to accommodate left-wing political correctness silliness.

MLK was a Revolutionary, Not just a Dreamer.

Martin Luther King Jr. fought for civil rights. He also fought against war and poverty. It's time to reflect on his legacy and reimagine the significance of commemorations attached to his name. King's outsized iconography towers over contemporary American race relations. Through a hard - won national holiday, hundreds of books, an endowed lecture series and, most recently, a memorial dedicated in 2013 in the nation's Capitol, King's image has become a permanent fixture in public memory. King's prophetic vision of American democracy, heroic efforts to mobilize black Americans for justice and brief, sacrificial time on the public stage have become part of a national mythology of the civil rights era. In this telling, King emerges as a talented individual whose rhetorical genius at the March on Washington helped elevate an entire nation through his moral power and sheer force of will. Like the Old Testament prophet Moses, King was allowed to see but not cross over into the Promised Land.

"Anyone else tried of....

....Special Interest Groups re-defining words to fit their agendas or remodel, re-image themselves? Then telling us we must use a word to mean this or that, or not at all instead?"

Count me a member of that group. It all started with the nonsensical "rules" about using words like "short," or "fat," or "ugly," or "stupid," or "handicapped," and it has progressed until now words like "gay" and now "thug" have been completely re-defined.

If you're a Conservative who is fluent in the English language it's nearly impossible to say anything without "offending" someone.

The ONLY cure? IGNORE it. Obviously, you cant do that completely in here, but in your day to day life it's better to say what you mean and not tip-toe around the Left's version of what may, or may not, offend someone.

I have also been hearing the booms for several weekends now.

I am willing to bet its someone enjoying shooting at those Explosive targets . They make a heck of a loud bang and are relatively harmless if used as intended.

Tell the Georgia legislature:

Repeal Georgia's "stand your ground" law.
The Trayvon Martin tragedy was not an aberration-- stand your ground laws also disproportionately affect communities of color. According to an Urban Institute study, when white shooters kill black victims,34 percent of the resulting homicides are deemed justifiable same as when a white officer kill a black subject, while only 3percent of deaths are ruled justifiable when the shooter is black and the victims is white. Demand Action for Gun Sense in America.

Wonder why the media is not

Wonder why the media is not talking about that terrible Republican governor up in Wisconsin and the fact that Wisconsin has gone from a $3 billion dollar deficit to almost a $1 billion dollar surplus this year. He has cut taxes, is cutting property taxes, the pension fund is 100% funded, and companies are relocating to Wisconsin and creating jobs. Nothing in the media about that. All you can hear from them is their echo of Obama saying "income inequality". There is income inequality because there is EFFORT INEQUALITY. Oh yeh, and Hollywood is actually holding a meeting about how they will portray Obamacare in TV shows and movies so they can make it sound like it's wonderful. But not a peep about a Republican governor that actually turned a state around while cutting taxes and creating jobs.

People need to quit listening to Obama, the Democrats, and Hollywood and start looking around to see what is working and where. Democrat dogma and tribal chants and phrases ain't working. We have proof positive that Communism don't work. Look at the deficit, look and the number of people not working and who have given up looking for work. Look at the cost of your health care insurance and the copays and deductibles. Look at the SAME number of people who still do not have health care insurance after we destroyed the best health care system in the world AND the insurance industry. After 5 years of Obama all of the misery belongs to him and the Democrats. Nothing has gotten better for the middle class or the poor. In fact, things have gotten worse for the middle class. Except in Wisconsin...and maybe Texas.
