Rants & Raves

THE STALINIST WHO refused the high school kids from singing Christmas carols at the VA should be fired and returned to his original home – North Korea.

GEE! WHAT A CHRISTMAS. I put my house on the market recently, and got a superb offer. Now, I am off to a better place. My 40-year association with the Augusta area is over. I am so thankful that I lived in Columbia County and NOT Richmond County. My two children received great educations at Lakeside Middle/High and moved on to
attend great colleges
and have great careers away from the Augusta area. I read the rants and raves every day. It is clear that many of you would love to leave Augusta. Thank God, I can! Adios to the bickering, dysfunctional Augusta Commission. Sayonara to the self-serving intellectual wannabes on the Board of Education. … God is great! I am one happy so-and-so to be able to get out of this place. I am voting with my feet: Leaving! All you who are stuck here with no hope of leaving can offer up your feeble responses. It is OK, ’cause I know you would leave if you could.

WHEN WE PULLED out of Iraq, President Obama said that we achieved a “responsible end” to the war in Iraq. Now we are back supplying dozens of Hellfire missiles and low-tech surveillance drones to the Iraq regime to be used to suppress an al-Qaida-backed insurgency. Looks like we left the country in a mess with more than 8,000 Iraqis killed so far this year. Is this what is meant to be a “responsible end” to the war?

THE BIGGEST JOKE of 2013: “President Obama unable to use his Web site to sign up for Obamacare.

GOV. DEAL IS touting his new criminal justice plans that will release thousands of felons. Saving money is his reason. In the end, when these criminals commit new crimes and victimize more innocents, he will not be able to save his own position.

PRESIDENT OBAMA had to sign up in person for health insurance because he was not in the government database! Huh? State senator, U.S. senator and president and he isn’t in the government database? Beyond reality!

How Far Away?

Geez, how far does the second ranter have to be from Richmond County to feel okay? He says he lived in Columbia County and his kids attended those schools. Is he going to stay in Georgia? The western hemisphere?

(you beat me to it, Raul)

Inconvenient Truth

Ranter #3 reminds us of an inconvenient truth. The U.S. military pulled out of Iraq to mollify Obama supporters, but Al Qaida is making its move and taking over city after city in Iraq.

In a few years, the quagmire will have returned.

Gitmo, here we come.

Better keep it open.

The Week Ahead

I'm thinking this week some major news will break about Kay Allen. Deal said he would act after the New Year. Also it's rumored our activist accountants will be coming out with some major revelations concerning Augusta government.

Iraq In Danger of Falling

LL, yes, it appears Iraq is in danger of falling to Al Qaeda. What a surprising and horrendous turnabout that would be. If Al Qaeda gains control of Iraq with its American made military, we're in deep trouble. This will be the most powerful Al Qaeda has ever been.

The United States Has Pursued....

...a flawed and almost unthinkable foreign policy of using the American military to fight to tie, rather than fight to win. Our political leaders don't even use the word "win" anymore. We announce our time schedule for withdrawing our forces and promising our enemies we won't shoot at them if there are any civilians in their vicinity. We send our Lieutenants to prison for fighting to save the lives of their soldiers and we fire our senior commanders for doing the same thing.

Political correctness and weak, misguided, inexperienced political leaders have destroyed the American military and I doubt we will ever recover. Iraq has fallen to the hands of radical muslims and Afghanistan will soon follow as will the rest of the Mid-East.

Turn the lights out, folks.....the party is over.

What Took So Long

Ranter #2. Wow, so sorry it took you 40 years to feel your life if finally worth something and now have moved to Columbia County. Poor me, I learned a long time ago, where you live is not as important as how you live. By the way, you do realize you left the two best schools in the area and the state (DFA, and AR Johnson) behind.

Ranter #3. Why not get some of your friends and volunteer to give them a hand fighting their internal battles. We signed an agreement to pullout at a specific time, and we did just that. May you and you friends have billions to continue fighting a conflict with no end, but the rest of us would rather spend our dollars taking care of business here in the U.S.

Obama doesn't need to sign up

Obama doesn't need to sign up for anything, he is the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces and is provided free medical care from the military, just like any other member of the Armed Forces.

And I don't know whether to laugh or cry that so many people don't understand this.

And the people writing these rants are the ones that vote, they are the ones that are putting those incompetents into Congress, and then they complain about the laws that are passed- and people think it's going to get better? Not as long as you have people like ranters #4 and #6 voting!

Ranter #1- nobody refused the

Ranter #1- nobody refused the choir the right to sing.

The choir refused to sing in the chapel.

There's a difference.

Again, and that ranter votes. And that's why we have the Congress that we do.

The VA fiasco can be
Unpublished

The VA fiasco can be explained simply, liberals hate Christanity but love Islam. Obama can be explained simply also, he is a lying closed minded dogmatic thief, which is why he is so popular with liberal Americans, because so are they.

Obama doesn't need to sign up for anything, he is the Commander

Before he gets one benefit that our men and women in uniform he should have to go through boot camp. That should be for anyone seeking that office. He doesn't deserve health care or anything else. Wait, Maybe we can get him on the local VA waiting list!!

Obama doesn't need to sign up

Obama doesn't need to sign up for OBAMACARE.

Him and his family will be provided free medical care from the US Military.

BUT REST ASSURED.
They will get better care than any service member of the Armed Forces.

Pride motivates us to

Pride motivates us to exaggerate the value of our thoughts. It seems rather condescending to believe that only people who think as you do are worthy of voting, and as long as they vote as you do.

It is correct "Obama doesn't need to sign up for anything" and he didn't. A staff member signed up for him. Of course his insurance will still be provided by the military so his act of support really doesn't mean anything other than a show. He didn't have to wade through all the frustration and will not be limited by the crappy expensive copays and high deductibles and out of pocket cost.

Dude, really??

Every time I see Robert on one of these topics, he's talking about liberals hating Christians. Of course, his definition of "liberal" seems to be everyone that's not Christian. And now, apparently, all liberals are Muslim. So to sum up his overall message, I can only deduce that all nonChristians are liberal Muslims....My word.

This is for the third ranter,

This is for the third ranter, at least 97 percent of the deaths occurred after US President George W. Bush announced the end of "major combat" in Iraq on May 1, 2003, (CNN.com).The Atlantic reports that at the time of the “MISSION ACCOMPLISHED” speech by Bush “American casualties stood at 139 killed and 542 wounded,” but on May 1, 20011 (8 years later), the U.S. fatalities total “over 4,000.” Mission Accomplished, fact or fiction. All I am saying is that no matter how much “BLAME” you heap on the current president (yours and mine, whether you like it or not) of the United States of America, Iraq is Bush’s debacle and any “SANE” and “HONEST” person would admit that. Is president Obama perfect? No, he isn’t (being sane and honest, he’s made mistakes). He is the 44th president of the United States, ALL of Americas problems did not occur under “HIM” there were 43 before him that are responsible for that. America has a multitude of problems, but I love my country and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. God bless America.

"Obama doesn't need to sign up for anything, he is the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces and is provided free medical care from the military, just like any other member of the Armed Forces."

You have a serious problem with understanding people, don't you? The point was NOT that the Commander in Chief HAS to sign up for his own ACA, the point is that he DID a symbolic signing and the WEBSITE DIDN'T WORK PROPERLY FOR HIM EITHER!! Got it? Or do I need to type slower? This story was on many different news outlets!!

Good Morning "Religious Debates" America

Everyday, Everyday. Can anybody tell me in all fairness when this constant volume of religious cut throat debates continue daily on all topics, TV, News, every internet blog existed prior to the 2008 with the Crowning of our Devil King Muslim leader?

I was under the impression that all Humans in America had Freedom of Religion or no Religion guaranteed by the US Constitution. Why now, does this Constitution now longer exist??

It's quite obvious you haven't spent a single second in the military!! Why? Because then you would know that in WAR, there are NUMEROUS missions. One of which was to remove Saddam Hussein from power; MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!! Then, the next mission is to help provide stability to a WAR TORN AREA, which is ALWAYS a MUST when dealing with a Country, torn apart by War!! In THAT aspect, Bush failed, because he never realized how bad the resistance would continue! The troop surge by Bush and Obama, both worked to LOWER the attacks and casualties, but then we pull completely out, leaving a War torn, unstable Country to defend themselves from terrorists and Iran!!

Why don't you leave understanding military operations, to those who understand military operations!! THAT, might be a start for you!!

It's absurd how you will throw Bush under the bus for saying "mission accomplished" after removing Saddam Hussein; Yet when Obama takes credit for Osama Bin Laden, the left doesn't have a single problem with that. Obama even used Bin-Laden's death during this campaign, and no outrage by the left? Al Qaeda is still killing people by the thousands, even after Bin-Laden's death. Was the mission accomplished?

Any "Honest" person as you put it, would say YES, one mission was accomlished, Bin-Laden is dead. That was just ONE Mission on the War on Terror. There are many missions in this War!! Got it?

"The choir refused to sing in the chapel.

There's a difference."

What about those who are restricted to their beds or rooms and couldn't be taken to the chapel, but wanted to hear carols to brighten their spirits?

Bottom line is, WHERE IS THE TOLERANCE?

I'm a veteran and if a religous group not of my own, came in to sing their people some songs, I would have accommodated them any way possible. I would have TOLERATED their songs for a few hours!! What on earth is the big deal?

Hello justthefacts, in

Hello justthefacts, in response to your post, whether I read the speech or listen to what was telecast on CNN, or this quote from the Fox news network, 2003 by Bush, “Major combat operations in Iraq have ended,” he told the crowd. “In the battle of Iraq, the United States and our allies have prevailed,” it won’t bring back the over 4,000 fatalities that occurred after Bush’s statement and those are justthefacts.
