Boil water advisory issued for some residents in Aiken County

A boil water advisory has been issued for Aiken County residents living in the Huron Drive area after a water main broke Monday night.

Residents on Huron, Savannah and Moultrie drives in the Gem Lakes subdivision need to boil their water until 10 a.m. Wednesday, according to Aiken Department of Public Safety Capt. David Turno.

Does Aiken County own and operate the water system where the boil water notice is in effect, or is it one of the privately-owned water systems.
