Symphony Orchestra Augusta received a $10,000 grant to support its Columbia County Music Series and related community engagement programs.

The National Endowment for the Arts awarded the money to the symphony, one of 895 arts groups receiving grants totaling $23.4 million, according to a news release.

The money will help fund chamber music concerts at the Jabez S. Hardin Performing Arts Center in Evans. The Manhattan Piano Trio, Escher String Quartet and Trio Virado will perform January through March.
