ATLANTA — Gov. Nathan Deal and First Lady Sandra Deal will come to Augusta on Saturday, his office announced Thursday.

They will visit the Master’s Table Soup Kitchen, 702 Fenwick St., at 10:30 a.m. They also plan to visit the Dwight Eisenhower Army Medical Center.

Deal was elected governor in 2010 and is seeking re-election next year.

A native of Millen, he grew up in Sandersville and was a successful lawyer and judge in Gainesville. He also served in the Georgia Legislature and U.S. Congress.

Visit the Masters Soup Table, then DDE Hospital, Photo Ops then he and Azziz can get together at the Mansion on Milledge Road and talk about the time line for moving our Medical College to Atlanta.

Southern2 - Where are the 50K statues from The Ga. Golf Hall..?

Great subject - Who has purchased or warehoused the other 4 to 6 statues like Palmer, Nicklaus, Watson etc…? And who technique sold them or owned them? Stole, under the table, is the word that comes to mind for me! I've seen a few @ The Augusta Musemum. Were they donated, by whom and why not given to The Augusta National, the largest contributor to this city, in cash, that will ever be…Talk to the hand! C'mom Man
