Police are searching for a man who fled East Central Regional Hospital early Thursday.

Joshawa Leundre Clark, 21, ran from the hospital about 1:40 a.m., according to a Richmond County Sheriff’s Office incident report. He was admitted to the institution on a court order because he was diagnosed as a paranoid schizophrenic.

He is described as a black male, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans, red socks and orange shower shoes.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts are asked to call the sheriff’s office at 706-821-1080.

Dichotomy, take into account where you are getting your information from...a limited posting from the paper. HIPPA is the system set up for privacy and any details provided will likely be based on information not received directly from the facility. Meanwhile, it would be great if such an event would encourage people to take an interest in the field of mental health and how it can raise the same amount of support as breast cancer and other illnesses...
