I APPRECIATE The Augusta Chronicle’s calling attention to breast cancer. I am a survivor, as is my wife, but the pink paper was difficult to read.

YOU NEED TO have a mammogram if you are over 40 years old. If you don’t want to do it for yourself, do it for your family.

HOW MANY MORE years do we have to endure this pink newspaper?

RAVE FOR AUGUSTA Waste Management Co. They went above and beyond to help me with my waste problem. It is greatly appreciated.

I THINK IT IS A shame these congressmen are doing the American people like this. We need to let them know what we think. The president hasn’t done enough, either. Black people, you voted for him just like me, and he isn’t doing anything for poor people.

BE 58 OR 59 AND WORK all your life and have Social Security be denied. Be 18 and tell them you’re crazy and you can’t work or you’re suicidal and they’ll give you whatever you want.

REPUBLICANS WANT this country to be a one-party system. Only Republicans need apply, and only Republicans allowed to vote. Period.

MARY MORRISON ON Channel 6: Will you please stop holding that cup and drinking that coffee? Is anything in the cup? Drink it all and get through with it.

WHY WAS THE contract for the miserable computer system for the Affordable Care Act (“Obamacare”) given to a Canadian company? We have plenty of out-of-work computer specialists, and IBM has a great record in these kind of systems.

I LOVE GOING to the Lady A Park in Evans. I don’t enjoy all the dogs running everywhere leaving their droppings. The place has turned into a dog dump.

THE REPUBLICANS AND the tea party continue with their phony lies, and almost 95 percent of Americans can see that, rightfully blamingthem for the shutdown. Now Reps and teas, get to work. You cannot lie anymore about trying to blackmail our president and country. So if you hope to have any chance outside of a majority Democrat election next year, step up to the plate.

RANT TO THE sleepy little town of North Augusta for justifying an armored car. Look out, folks. They are trying to disarm us. Bury your guns if necessary.

Hi America, I'm Back. @11, You Sure Know How To Make My Day

Back to the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave so I thought. Stepping off the plane after a 14 hour flight, reality came into play. The first reality that took over was an issue that so many of you are complaining about is Garbage, unkept landscape and Trash.
Parts of Okinawa was turned over to Japan in 1974, In the beginning the Okinawan Government took control of the Garbage collection but within one year they realized that they could no longer fund the operation. They then did away with that department and turned it over to private contractors. Now picture this: the middle part of Okinawa contains about 1,000,000 of the total population of 1,400,000. It is wall to wall 2 story homes, 1000 to 1200 sq. ft. on each floor plus the many business stores. The area outside of each contains a walkway and maybe a grass area (flowers) of 6' x 20'. This whole area is about the size of Richmond County. It is divided into many Soi's (villages). Lets get back to Garbage which is just beautiful. Garbage is divided into two types, Burnable and Recyclable. Each resident buys a 10 pack of large and 10 pack of small plastic bags, $3.00 large, $1.50 small from the local grocery story. The local store turns in the sale to a local contractor for there service. Burnable is picked up on Monday and recycle it picked up on Thursday come rain, wind or sunshine. Those 2 - 10 pack of bags last on an average of 5 weeks. The government is in no way involved. Free enterprise.
One more observation, never once did I see as much as a cigarette butt on the ground, ANYPLACE. I have even see people picking up a small candy wrapper that fell or blew out of a car and place it in many placed bin throughout the total area. All roadways are lined with beautiful flowers. This is just one of the pride and respect that the people have for their country.

Later I will cover, "No Welfare, Education, obesity & Crime." That is if the Liberals don't get bored and love there way of living!

Metro updates!!!

1. The Pita Pit located on Washington rd in Evans opens November 1st....
2. The new Shane's Rib Shack(2nd location)opened Monday in Aiken...
3. Marco's Pizza(3rd location)held their grand opening yesterday for the North Augusta location.
4. Subway is opening a new store in Midtown at Central Ave/Troupe
5. The Cookout is building a new location(2nd location)on Jimmie Dyess Pkwy in Martinez/Grovetown..

I desperately want Olde Town, Summerville, Midtown, Laney Walker, Harrisburg, and the Medical District to have their own amenities outside of the CBD. People should be able to walk back and forth between the multiple businesses in each area...

I'm excited to hear Subway is coming to the Summerville/Midtown area. The Summerville and Midtown areas continue to grow, and Summerville can easily resemble the Virginia Highland neighborhood in Atlanta. The Buona Caffe at 1858 Central Ave, the Purple Cow Frozen Yogurt at 1419 Monte Sano, new residential at 2471/2473 Wrightsboro rd, Wesley Cadle at 1419 Monte Sano Ave, townhome development at 1861 Central Ave, doctors office at 2300 Wrightsboro rd, etc have all opened recently in the area...

South Augusta

The rumors of Hullstorey redeveloping their shopping center on Peach Orchard(Goodwill, post office, etc) seem to be true if you focus on the recent progress... The rumors of Target coming to South Augusta aren't new and everything can't be a coincidence. The smaller Augusta Exchange model would really help South Augusta begin to grow much faster... I doubt that Peach Orchard will ever resemble Washington rd, but it can definitely become the main corridor of South Augusta..

1. Five Guys is coming to the Colony Plaza
2. Chick Fil A is suppose to build on the existing SRP ATM location
3. Dunkin Donuts/Firehouse Subs opening at 2930 Peach Orchard
4. Denny's rumored to build 24 hr location on Peach Orchard

The TEA Party lied? About
Unpublished

The TEA Party lied? About what? Tell us what the lie was....and while you are at it, how about you prove it is a lie? It's easy to call someone a liar and present zero evidence to that accusation. Liberals do it all the time.

CG, buying those garbage bags

CG, buying those garbage bags to finance garbage pick-up is a neat idea. Of course some people here would never buy them.

Miami is a private university

Miami is a private university with lawyers lined up to fight a penalty they didn't like. But what about Johnny Football and his "penalty?" What was his...held out a half a game? Heh. NCAA is getting weaker. Remember SMU getting the death penalty?

"The president hasn’t done enough, either."

It was never about improving the conditions for the Poor.

The Rich Elite Liberals and Socialists need you to stay poor so they can stay rich and powerful.

They know race card and Carrot on a Stick will continue to get your vote.
The Votes that keep them in power and keep them rich and you poor.

Think about it.
What have Liberals (President included) really done for you besides some free stuff? Stuff that will need to be replaced in a year or 2?
JUST IN TIME FOR THE NEXT ELECTION?

Name me 1 thing the Liberals have done since 1970 that has put
ANY of the 4+ generations since, on a path to reaching the middle class++ dream and taking care of yourself?

No, the Poor have been played for their Change and they like you right were you are at. Looking to them like child for your next hand out.

"THE REPUBLICANS AND the tea

"THE REPUBLICANS AND the tea party continue with their phony lies"

In case you haven't noticed, the TEA party folks are the ONLY ones telling the truth. Just because you don't want to hear it does not mean it isn't true.

I could list all of the Obama lies and failures, to include the current goat rope with Obamacare and the sticker shock of "cheaper" insurance, but anyone who truthfully looks at the situation already knows that the TEA party is correct in everything they say.

Rant about liar.....I mean Tea Partyers

"You cannot lie anymore about trying to blackmail our president and country. So if you hope to have any chance outside of a majority Democrat election next year, step up to the plate"

If The Tea Party "claims" they didn't try to "blackmail" our President, THEN THAT IS THE LIE!

Insurance

I'm looking at renewing my health insurance and the options available for next year. Guess what? Yep, The coverage is reduced, the co pay's and deductibles are going up and so is the premium. I will now be able to get 50% less for 50% more!! Obamacare is wonderful, I think I'll quit work father 12 more children and hang on the corner so I can get it for free!!!!! The only thing I'll have to worry about is where my next 40 is coming from!!!!
