The public will get another chance to be heard on Project Jackson tonight.

A public hearing begins at 7 p.m. on a proposed Tax Increment Financing District to partially fund a North Augusta riverfront development that would include a new stadium for the Augusta GreenJackets, a 200-room hotel and conference center, restaurants, office and retail space, apartments and townhomes.

The Aiken County Council voted in favor of the TIF district in September. A public hearing plus three readings of the ordinance are required by the North Augusta City Council.

Tonight’s hearing is in the council chambers at the North Augusta Municipal Building, 100 Georgia Ave.

Voting rights of Aiken Co sheeple.

Tonight’s hearing is in the council chambers at the North Augusta Municipal Building, 100 Georgia Ave. So a big turnout is not expected and the citizens of Aiken Co have thrown in the towel. Lets see how this drama plays out. I wish the best for NA but I'm not sure about the stadium deal.

The hearin? Herein is the bill. Herein is the bill. Ben Dover

There was never not going to be construction in the river overflow. Swamp land was once a FL joke and cause for lawsuits. Now the government is in the business with no stopping point. Just like it was illegal for the mob to practice the "numbers racket". But politicians are making a mint from the "number racket".
