Rants & Raves

I CALLED AUGUSTA Cares at 9:30 a.m. on a Monday to report a dead animal on my property, and by 11 a.m. it was removed! A big thank you to Augusta Cares and Animal Services for prompt attention to the matter.

THE REAL REPUBLICANS are morons to put up with the tea party’s stupid, cynical threats against America.

WHY DO PEOPLE assume that Georgia Regents University is going to be able to take over, renovate and use the mills? I realize there are different funding but they can’t rehire back for positions, they can’t pass a raise, they already have grounds they can’t keep up with at Summerville. Where is the money coming from?

MR. PRESIDENT, YOU were very quick to pick up the phone to call the Iranian president to discuss ways to shut down their nuclear program. However, you were very slow to pick up the phone to call House Speaker John Boehner to discuss ways to avert a shutdown of our country. I guess it all depended on which had the better photo op.

I HAVE A RANT about Georgia Power. Once again they want us to pay for their mess-ups. They are asking for yet another raise.

HUGE RAVES TO the Augusta Players for their outstanding performance of Les Mis. I was enchanted and transported the entire show. The level of musical talent rivaled anything on Broadway. Well done!

HUGE RANT TO the Democrats. The Republicans tried and tried to compromise with their last offer being to strip Congress’ Cadillac health care package and have the same health care that the public now has. Where is the common sense in Washington? The Democrats shut the government down.

RANT TO THE Chronicle, not for highlighting breast cancer awareness but for failing to recognize September as Ovarian cancer awareness. Ovarian cancer is even more deadly than breast cancer, and it receives little attention.

THIS IS A RAVE for the sheriff’s office for having a larger presence in south Augusta, but the next time you want to do a traffic check, please do not sit at the bottom of the hill on Morgan Road. When I saw this, the word entrapment came to mind. A law of physics states that a vehicle’s speed will accelerate when going down a hill. We are black, but we are working taxpayers who deserve the same fair laws as people in west Augusta and Columbia County.

Peace

On second thought, a better solution would be for the Nobel Prizes committee to take back Obama's peace prize and award it to al-Assad.

Speed Traps

I've seen deputies sitting in turn lanes clocking traffic. It is illegal to stop, stand or park on a roadway, therefore that makes the tickets they write from that "Fruit of the Poison Tree" which renders them inadmissable in court! It also renders anything else they discover from that stop inadmissable.

For our liberal friends

For our liberal friends, I have a question. If you had the Senate, House and Presidency what all would you want? Single payer medical care, higher minimum wage, more people on EBT cards for food, higher taxes on those making over 200 k and free college? I'm just curious how far it would all go.

Rant #2

I get the feeling that ranter #2 is a real Democrat. The only feeling she has for Republicans is contempt.

Threats

Right, Angela. The only threats I hear are from Democrats saying that people will be inconvenienced, people will be hurt, children will go hungry, lives will be endangered, and the world economy will sink into deep depression.

Remember how the Democrats said the sky would fall if the sequester spending cuts went into effect (which was Obama's idea in the first place)?

Hard to believe those cuts are STILL in effect, and yet the sky is still there.

Debt Ceiling

Raising the debt ceiling allows Washington to have the power to borrow MORE. It's time to STOP borrowing and pay the d*** bills you've already burdened this country with!!!!!!! Credit card companies won't do that for people at their limit, it shouldn't be allowed for Washington either!!

Politicians... next election

Politicians... next election if the word "incumbent" is there, vote for the other candidate. If they won't impose term limits we sure as heck can.

SNAP/WalMart... end of benefits for the thieves who participated. ALL benefits should stop immediately and prosecution begin. Benefits never to be reinstated. BTW, I hope they choke on the food I paid for.

Good Night America, Good Morning Okinawa

0630 am.

Gee, I mess Fox News. I see by the R&Rs that everybody in America is still very happy with the way things are. I guess my King SMNCICBHO(M), you know that there Hammer & Sickle man has got everything just [filtered word] Dorie.

Has anybody ever driven on Fort Gordon and see a sign that said 25 miles per hour and then seen someone doing 26? I guess Ft. Gordon people have intelligence.

The same intelligence applies here on the Big island of Okinawa. 60 Km means 60 Km! Sad, that so many Americans lack intelligence or common séance.

Ok, CU all later, be good to Sean!

Congress members receive a

Congress members receive a $127.41 daily food allowance. How can any of them justify cutting off food aid to needy Americans? They should have voted to end this . $127.41 a day is more than the average food stamp person gets in a month. This on top of their $174,000.00 salary, health care coverage, pension and office space and free postage all paid for by the American taxpayer.
