Early Voting

When the Georgia Legislature instituted month-long early voting a few years ago, I'm sure they were thinking of the long lines in November of presidential election years. The idea of being forced to pay big bucks for early voting in special elections with only one race on the ballot is ludicrous. I wish they would go back to the week-long advance voting and get rid of this month-long early voting.

P.S. I did vote early in 2008 because I am a poll worker. The line for early voting was way way longer than the line on election day. I was in line for over forty minutes. Ever since then I request an absentee ballot by mail. It's the only way to fly. Of course, you have to buy a stamp, but it's the best use of 47¢ you can find. It'll be 49¢ next year, but still a bargain if you don't want to stand in lines.

Voting in America has become a useless endeavor. I.E. the USSR

We are there folks. Get your head out of the sand. In the world of money, politics and influence peddling, voting has no weight.

Six

There is a follow-up story saying that only six people voted on Monday. That's a lot of pollworker effort for only a few votes.

Where is a state representative when you need one? We need the General Assembly to repeal their month-long early voting law. Or if they don't repeal it outright, at least modify it so that it does not include special elections.

Why can't we curve rampant

Why can't we curve rampant voter fraud with real voter ID, elimination of absentee ballots, and election day being only a day long and held on Saturday?

One fraudulent vote cancels mine.
