Pardon Our Mess: Broken sewer top

  • Follow Metro

WHERE: 2955 Hill Creek Drive

WHAT: About six years ago, a garbage truck ran over the concrete sewer top and broke it. The tipster called the city many times, but it was never fixed.

WHO’S RESPONSIBLE: The Department of Engineering and Maintenance.

ACTION TAKEN: “We are going to repair it,” said Superintendent Wayne Shelley. “I was not aware of it. It is not a bad problem at all. We are going to take care of that.”

He said crews would begin work on it Sept. 12. It had been repaired when The Chronicle checked on it a week later.
