JONESBORO, Ga. — Police are searching for a 14-year-old girl after they say home invaders abducted her from her house southeast of Atlanta.

Police early this morning were stopping cars and checking them during an all-out search for the girl.

The two men pried open a back door of the home in the Ellenwood area around 2:15 a.m. Tuesday, Clayton County police said.

The home invaders demanded money and jewelry, Clayton County police Officer Phong Nguyen said. When the woman said she didn’t have any, one of the men shot and killed the family dog, he said.

Police say the men then took 14-year-old Ayvani Hope Perez, who is 4 feet, 9 inches tall and 93 pounds. She’s described as Hispanic, with brown eyes and black hair. She was wearing blue and gray Star Wars pajama bottoms and a blue and gray super hero shirt.

The girl was last seen being taken from the home in a gray Dodge, police said.

The home invasion was apparently random, Nguyen said told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“It didn’t appear that they knew each other,” he said of the suspects and victims. “They just moved in about a month ago.”

The crime happened at 3894 Brookgate Drive in Ellenwood, a small community just southeast of Atlanta, police said. The neighborhood is on the northern edge of Clayton County, just south of the DeKalb County line.

If they're gonna catch these guys, wouldn't a

little profiling help?

Were they white, Asian, black .... what did they look like?

And a gray Dodge. Was it a late model, or a vintage vehicle? Anything to offer....????

Something not right here.

Thanks for nothing AP.

Amber Alert!

Shouldn't there be more publicity about the missing child?

They did give the girl's home address.

That'll give the morbidly curious and rubberneckers something to do with their idle time.

Something to think about

Given that 93% of Black America voted for President Obama
http://www.csmonitor.com/USA/DC-Decoder/Decoder-Wire/2012/1107/Election-...

or

http://rt.com/usa/black-voter-turnaout-election-571/

This would mean these 2 must be part of the 7% that voted Republican.

Because no true Democrat would ever harm another human being. Let alone rob someone and use a gun.
