Deputy expected to make full recovery

The Burke County sheriff’s deputy wounded during a Friday afternoon blaze near Sardis is expected to make a full recovery.

Deputy Jay Hollingsworth, who was injured after a weapon stored inside a burning building discharged, has been taken off of a ventilator, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office.

and I am praying for his full recovery. A strange freak accident, to say the least. I tell these guys all the time that they are running towards something I am usually running from. Brave and Courageous souls are our Law Enforcement and Firefighters.
