Spill causes lanes to close

Several blocks of Reynolds Street were closed for about an hour-and-a-half Wednesday as crews cleaned up hydraulic fluids that spilled from a truck, according to Richmond County Disaster Preparedness Coordinator Mie Lucas.

The Augusta-Richmond County Fire Department and a Hazmat team were called to the scene about 5:30 p.m. The eastbound lanes between Seventh and 12th streets were closed until almost 7 p.m. Traffic was diverted to Broad Street.
