Rants & Raves

RAIN OR NO RAIN – the grass on Bobby Jones Expressway needs to be cut. It looks terrible.

RANT TO DR. FRANK Roberson and the Richmond County Board of Education. It is great to defend furloughs, but please explain why no other counties in Georgia have more than five furlough days, but Richmond County has had nine for the past two years? Haven’t all counties had state funding cut? It sounds like poor management to me.

GEORGE ZIMMERMAN is acquitted by a jury of his peers. The prosecutor said they presented a poor case. Congress sticks its nose where it doesn’t belong. Justice bows to pressure and will decide whether they should try the case as a civil right case. Maybe we would be better off with a dictator.

QUEEN ELIZABETH officially approved of homosexual “marriage.” She’s also supposed to be the head of the Church of England, which, if it’s following the Bible, teaches that homosexuality is an abomination. She’s old enough to know better. Though we should forgive those who sin against us, the Bible does not teach us to approve of sin.

DETROIT WENT LONG enough without paying its bills, so now it’s gone bankrupt. Guess who’s next? Obama’s federal government. What do the leaders of Detroit and Obama have in common? All are Marxists and believe the absurd Keynesian economics lies. They really believe that something can be made out of nothing.

A BIG RANT TO the “neighbor” who called mosquito control! Miss Goody-Two-Shoes did not have the intestinal fortitude or the backbone to speak to me about my pool; she did what any sick and cowardly person would do; she calls Richmond County Mosquito Control and then tells me via Rants & Raves that when the water has turned green, “maybe it is time to treat it, neighbor.”

I USED TO WONDER why law-abiding citizens didn’t hit the streets in protest of the verdict in O.J. Simpson’s murder trial. And then I understood. We have jobs and couldn’t take the time off.

If you ever wonder if a Government or civilization is in decline

Just look at its roads.

I-20 between Thomson and Madison tells me we are rapidly losing ground. But, ARC streets tell me we are screwed.

Ranter #4. You know very,

Ranter #4. You know very, very, little about either the Church of England or how it reads the bible. For starters, it allows women clergy. It did oppose the legalization of gay marriage in Great Britain, but will support it on its overwhelming passage in Parliament. They also allow gay clergy, but draw the line, for the time being, at gay bishops.

The key principle there is that the Church of England does not believe in discriminating against people for the characteristics with which they were born. Gay people are born gay. Women are born women. Discriminating against them for being gay, or for being women, as is instantiated in the Southern Baptist Church, fails to follow the Golden Rule as spoken by Christ. "Therefore all things whatsoever would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them" Matthew 7:12

Born

I guess pedophiles are born pedophiles, too. We shouldn't discriminate against them.

Riverman, the reason why the

Riverman, the reason why the City of Richmond CA is doing that is because it's like a ghost town there, they have been so badly hit by foreclosures. They are desperate to keep homeowners there so they at least have some middle-class to keep the city going.

Worst Chronicle Mistake in Decades

As long as I've been reading the Chronicle the worst case of misinformation was just thrown on us. We had the story that basically headlined and said 11 people had been arrested in Augusta involved with child prostitution. People were screaming how bad Augusta is concerning this perversion. I questioned it from the start and asked for clarification in the comments under the story.

Finally, late today after I put up the charges against all 11, noting they were only for disorderly conduct for prostitution with 2 cases for marijuana, the Chronicle has put out another story saying no one in Augusta arrested had anything to do with child prostitution. They tried to cover with a BS quote from an FBI agent that said arrests of prostitutes can lead to information. Somebody seriously dropped the ball here.

Corgimom, correct. Sorry as I am for that California city, it still doesn't give them to right to basically take the houses from the bank using eminent domain and then resell at a lower price. Don't our contracts mean anything?

Speaking of the book of

Speaking of the book of revelation: Does Jesus already know that he wins in the end? Does Satan already know that he loses in the end? If the answer to both questions is yes, then what the hell is the point?
