State agencies to recruit at Fort Gordon job fair

A job fair will be hosted Tuesday by the Fort Gordon Army Career and Alumni Program to fill more than 1,100 jobs, many “on the spot,” according to the event announcement.

The 2013 State Agency Job Fair will be held at the Fort Gordon Army Reserve Center at the corner of 15th Street and Lane Avenue from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Representatives from the Georgia departments of justice, corrections, public safety, agriculture and more will participate in the event. Approximately 1,100 jobs are available in law enforcement across the state, including administration, probation supervisors, correctional officers, engineers and nurses.
