The Mini Theatre was allocated $857,000 in tax funding to be used for the construction of a 250-seat theater. To receive the money, the theater must raise a 25 percent match, or about $215,000. It needs to raise $155,000 more to meet that requirement.

Slow Pace

That sales tax referendum was approved in 2001, wasn't it? If they've taken this long to raise $60,000, it will be a mighty slow haul to reach $215,000.
