Fort Gordon warns of traffic delays

  • Follow Metro

Fort Gordon expects heavy traffic and travel delays beginning Monday morning because of gate access changes.

According to a news release, Fort Gordon will close Gates 2 and 3 and traffic will be directed through Gate 1. A sign at Gate 2 will inform drivers of the change.

Officials say to plan for traffic delays in areas near Gates 1 and 5. Gate 5 will be open from 4:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

According to a news release, because of civilian employee furloughs, the post won’t have enough guards to keep all of the gates open.

' Sorry, this isn't Obama's
Unpublished

' Sorry, this isn't Obama's fault.'
The sequester was Obama's idea but it is not his fault. The repubs in congress agree to let him select non-critical places to cut but it is not his fault. The truth is his administration is trying its best to punish the red states.
The left including the main stream media will give the lying America hating commie a pass no matter what he does.

Left house 9:15 - arrived work 11:00 - 8 total miles

So that's about 5 miles per hour. Granted I covered the first four miles in ten minutes until I hit gridlock where Powell Road meets Belair/Jimmy Dyess. I can imagine the fun for 7:00 AM crowd!
BTW those people who bought homes near Gate 2 (Grovetown) because they are "minutes" from Fort Gordon? That's a whole bunch of minutes for the next few months!

Want to read about it!!

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2013/03/15/why-canceled-white-hous...

Even Jay Carney admitted it was the White Houses decision, but then stated the Secret Service wanted the tours cancelled so they WOULDN'T have to forlough their employees!!

So, the secret services, making huge salaries; thinks its better to punish CHILDREN, than take a small pay cut??? And OBAMA agreed with them? Seriously people, does that make sense to anyone with COMMON sense?

And Corgimom says this is NOT about money!!!

For those who don't trust the Daily Beast!!

http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2013/03/13/press-briefing-pre...

Corgimom; start reading at the second question and PLEASE explain your comment that his has nothing to do with MONEY!!

YOU and the White House have completely opposite views!!

Also, with the conservative men; VOLUNTEERING to pay for White House tours, this would do away with any issue of the furlough or sequestration!!

So again, I ask the question; why would the President not at least entertain the idea of allowing private citizens to pay for the tours? There would be NO cost to the government and schools could continue their tours of our most Historic building!!

Now, please tell me with rational logic, this could be about anything but politics!! This is a political move by the President to make the sequestor hurt, as much as possible on the VOTERS!!!!

By the way; I don't expect to get a response from you, since I can't imagine any rational rebute of this issue!!

IT WAS A THREE DAY WEEKEND!

Goodness of course not many people knew this was coming because if they sent out e-mails on Friday nobody would be at work to read them. Most but not all military and civilians were off Friday.

"BUT, please continue to blame him

if it makes you feel better."

.
Thanks, I will. If you don't think presidents spend money like crazy, then you aren't paying attention.

And this one makes the ones who went before him look like stingy misers.

But go ahead, live in the dark, "if it makes you feel better".
