Waynesboro man wins $1 million

A Waynesboro, Ga., man scratched off a $1 million win, according to a Georgia Lottery news release.

Nathaniel Scott won the top prize after buying a Gold Rush instant game ticket from J&C Food Mart, 253 S. Liberty St., in Waynesboro. He claimed his prize Monday at the lottery’s district office in Augusta.

Oh, that's funny. Someone just noted on a local blog to the effect they had never known anyone in our area to win a million in the lottery. Hope it brings him some happiness.
