A thunderstorm has caused several traffic hazards across the area. Traffic lights on Wheeler Road from Walton Way Extension and Jackson Road to West Wheeler Parkway are currently out, Richmond County dispatch said. Lights are also out at the intersection of Damascus Road and Wrightsboro Road.

Deputies have responded to a downed power line on Windsong Way near Steven Creek Road.

A fallen tree is blocking the roadway on Wrightsboro Road near the VA Hospital.

Dispatch said the 2900 block of Brandford Road is experiencing flooding, as well as Berckmans Road near Cherry Lane.

In Columbia County, deputies are directing traffic at the intersection of Pleasant Home Road and Washington Road, where the lights are out. Georgia Power is on its way to repair the damaged lights, dispatch said.

Lt. Tim Thornton, of the North Augusta Department of Public Safety, said he was unaware of any problems at this time.
