Savannah River Remediation scholarships announced

Students from Richmond, Columbia and Aiken counties are among recipients of 2013 Savannah River Remediation Family Scholarships awarded to local high school graduates.

Each student received $3,000 after a selection process based on general ability, leadership, scholastic assessments and achievement. The recipients are children of SRR employees.

The recipients are: Annsley Boulineau, Evans High School, daughter of Patrick Boulineau; Jonathan Mills Jr., North Augusta High School, son of Jonathan Mills Sr.; Golda Nguyen, John S. Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School, daughter of Jennifer Nguyen; Meiji Nguyen, John S. Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School, daughter of Jennifer Nguyen; Sawyer Berry, Aiken High School, son of Dwayne Berry; Aarial Farmer, Aiken High School, daughter of Barry McDougal; and Hunter Norris, South Aiken Baptist Christian School, son of Phillip Norris.
