OBAMA COMPLAINED about America being responsible for violence in Mexico. I wonder if he was including the 2,000 weapons the federal government allowed to be smuggled into Mexico and put in the hands of drug cartels. It would be nice for Obama and Holder to come clean on this instead of claiming executive privilege!

WE NEED DR. FRAZIER at the alternative school! Frankly, we could do with a Dr. Frazier at every school. He does work very well with young people who need more discipline and toughness. I realize some people prefer a cuddly teddy bear but you can’t have the tough bear and teddy bear both to work at the same time. Keep Dr. Frazier as he is.

THUMBS DOWN TO certain commenters who frequent The Chronicle chat room. With little more than the scant information provided in a news article, goaded on by others of like minds, they assume the role of judge and jury. Why bother with factual evidence? All they need is a “rope and tree limb” to dispense their vigilante justice. If they are called out, these diva’s cry like little girls and whine, “That’s not fair”. Trolls used to lurk under bridges. Now they hang out on Web sites, cloaked by catchy usernames.

THERE IS SO MUCH wrong in Lincoln County schools. Being a small community, we fear the wrath of the chosen.

WANT TO GET RID of Azziz? 1. Flood the Governor’s Office with e-mails and hand-written letters. Picket Deal when he is in Augusta.

WHY NOT USE CAMERAS for Operation Thunder and use the deputies for downtown? Seems like a simple solution.

WHEN YOU READ THE allegations against Wayne Frazier, you wonder how he has stayed on as principal of anything ... much less a dysfunctional school. Get Professional Standards involved and get Frazier out of our district.

RANTS TO Richmond County police. Where were you when the brawl broke out on Broad Street? And to you lowlifes who would rather use your phone to record the brawl than to dial 911 for help. Downtown Augusta will always have a bad reputation as long as law enforcement ignores the problems and until the brawlers/trouble makers/lowlifes learn how to behave.

HOW CAN A FAMILY come up with $50,000 bond money when they cannot help his only child?

Countyman, concerning the new

Countyman, concerning the new pharmacy....unless someone has the foresight to increase parking at this location, I don't foresee it lasting very long. Between the medical facility and Subway, most times you can't find a place to park except around on the east side of the doctor's office.

As for Fairways at Goshen....surely you jest. This place has been at a standstill for years and the grounds overgrown and unkept. Except for one or two condos, no one is buying (or renting) these vacant homes.

Goshen new residential

ICL.. There's going to be new construction in the Fairways at Goshen(phase IV; 6 acres). I haven't driven through Goshen in a couple of months, and the construction might have begun already. I think plenty of individuals will be moving into the further out parts of South Augusta, Blythe, Mcbean, and Hephzibah due to Plant Vogtle/NSA....

Countyman, I live in this

Countyman, I live in this area, drive through every day of the week and I can tell you....there is nothing being developed. There are some patio homes in this subdivision area but half are up for sale. Take a drive through the area and I think you'll be highly disappointed. According to your link the date is 2012.......little behind aren't we. This housing has already been constructed and back up for sale.

JTF, so it seems....only

JTF, so it seems....only problem now is that none of the comments make a lick of sense. Guess that's what happens when you break the rules. Maybe he will learn to play nice.

Goshen

The approval date was in November of 2012, and the construction usually begins several months later. The new Walmart onpening along Wrightsboro rd was approved back in January, and the construction might now begin until June(this is a major company).

Unless they developed the entire six acres between December 2012 and April 2013.

The new phase didn't begin yet, because I'm positive you would have noticed 6 acres of land being developed.

pgapeach2: Thank you for your service;

I served from 1964 through 1991 in Infantry, Artillery and Signal. To be fair, for about half that time there were no full-time positions for EO. But, as the Army was during that period about 4/5th white and male, and hasn't changed that drastically, your three over three decades kinda makes my point.

countyman "The new phase

countyman "The new phase didn't begin yet, because I'm positive you would have noticed 6 acres of land being developed."

You would think.

I'm still wondering where they can develop 6 acres. These houses back up to the land that Goshen Grocery sits on and along the back side of the creek. You go further back and you run into the back of Goshen Learning Center.....so I'd be interested in where the 6 acres are for new construction. There hasn't been any developement in that area in a couple of years.

There is area where the new condo's started but they can't sell or rent the space they have already constructed, why in the world would they develop another 6 acres just to let them sit.

Did a research on homes for sale in Goshen.....amazed that there were 90 homes listed, grant it not all were right in Goshen but some were at Heather's Glenn, a few were along Brown Road/Old Waynesboro Rd area and a few lots for sale in the Southlake area up behind the townhomes and golf course.

Why would you build when you can't sell the homes you have already.

SeenitB4, if you can't see

SeenitB4, if you can't see why a certain individual got kicked off today then I'm not sure you read all his comments. It is one thing to disagree, have a robust conversation, and be highly enthusiastic, but what transpired not only on this article but other articles were way beyond enthusiastic. They were rude, belligerent, and one of the worse that have posted on the AC. I did not report any of the comments so I can only assume that Sean was put out with the conduct.....it's possible someone else reported the comments. Personally, I could not care less.
